- I bought a new Birel kart, and this was its first race weekend. I don't have everything set up right, but I'm pretty happy overall with how it worked.
I started this race in 9th, ran in 6th for a moment or two, and finished 7th.

You over turn the wheel going into turns. That gives it allot of toe out and is like putting on the brakes. you need to turn the wheel once and hold it there even if it goes off line a little it will still be faster. If the front end is too darty add some toe in and some caster but stop sawing the wheel back and forth.

the alignment of the kart helps with this, some slight understeer very little makes what he's saying easier. Every chassis handles slightly different, you'll have to find and alignment that allows you to put the kart into the corner like giffy is suggesting. But the sweet spot is if you can flick the kart into a corner with 1 steering input and get the wheel back to straight and the kart still going around the corner without oversteering or "sawing" the wheel... you're setup is money. once you get really good in an lo206 you can flick the kart in get the wheel back to straight and do very small "sawing" motions at the limit to fight and find grip@@bluej360
Throttle cable is definitely messed up and failing… if not… You need to improve that kart because it’s way too slow and has no pick up
What axel are you running?
I cant tell if the number 16 driver in front of you kept shaking his head for some reason, or his head just bobbles every time he turns around
I don't know what the rules are, but I bet I could get more out the engine..
Just slow haha. Maybe gearing for that up down track needs to be different?
It’s rough either way. Hopefully it was just the gearing for that guy. I can relate to his situation. Pushing it as hard as you can but it just doesn’t have speed. You’re constantly wondering whether you’re just a bad driver or if it really is the kart unable to keep pace. Really messes with you and your confidence sometimes.
