Thanks for the help! I've failed so many times on this game. Watching this felt like a close football match, on the edge of my seat! Enthought the game is tough i still dig it!
What is this game based on (I mean the real analog game) because I remember playing it back in the day. It's awesome because of how tricky it is. The logic is fairly simple, but I cannot find the schematics. Basically, it's a CRT and the controls move the beam. There are few analog or digital comparators. It's from 1960s or so I think. Maybe I remember playing in on an Atari 2600. But still on a CRT obviously.
There's a sort of similar old Windows game called Jezzball, which was included in the Windows Entertainment Pack disc. You draw a line and lose a life if it gets hit before completing, but you can only draw straight lines, and the goal is to separate balls which are bouncing around. There was no big enemy coming after you. In fact, you couldn't even get hit until you were actively creating a line. Not the game you have in mind, I'm sure.
This one is so hard to beat but i dont care because the music is too good.
