      I myself like the locomotives and trains that transport the coal but I can see your interest.

    I inspected the structures on the EK line in the late 70's and accessed many of the locations shown only by road. The aerial view is breath taking. I was looking for photos of a tunnel near Kite, Ky and found your video. I have a narriative in my head coming east into yards that are geographically south, but with the mountains you might be headed in any direction driving to get there. West was to the mainline switch point. Milepost 0 starting at the mainline.

    You're doing an excellent job covering the L&N, Evan. I've enjoyed everything of it from the CV, KD, and now EK. Keep it up! I'll come along with you one of these days.

    When I picture Kentucky and railroads this is what I imagine. Coal dragging at it's finest.

    AT 1:12 that should be Fort Branch Road instead of Fork Branch Road.

    There's another place called Car ky out that way has coal tower just like this one. Heck it might even be the same one I saw. Was on a road trip to get parts for a buel motorcycle go kart engine swap lol. Was a lot of fun. Maybe that wasn't the cities name but thats what the exit sign said.

    It's crazy how much the Government has destroyed the coal industry.

    very sad indeed. the yard at hazard I'm sure once upon a time was full of empty trains headed to the mines and loaded trains waiting to head to their final destination
    it's sad its unforgivable this country's war on its own economy

      Yea, I used to live near the hazard yard and went to work with my grandpa there when I was a little kid, now it stays almost empty. I knew most of the conductors and engineers there, nice people

      The markets are favoring much cleaner burning natural gas over coal. I would prefer it, nuclear, geothermal, hydropower, wind, and solar used together instead of coal. Coal is actually the most harmful source of energy environmentally and with regards to human health. Nuclear power is far cleaner and safer.

      No. With Obama's war on coal it's killed it all. Actually outsides of Jackson, Ky. they're removing some track

    Haven’t watched this for awhile. Now with Pres. Trump he’s trying to revive the coal industry, put the miners back to work.

    Kentucky could add 1,300 megawatts of generating capacity to existing dams. It would be so awesome if they did that. After doing that, building 4 AP1000 nuclear reactors would be icing on the cake.

      @Billy Rudd It's the biggest sting operation in the history of the world. It's going to be Biblical!! I am enjoying being alive during this Historic time! This isn't about an election. Donald Trump used 2016-20 to set this all up! In order to set this all up he had to get elected the 1st time. Trust the plan!!

    • @jamesbowen8960
      @jamesbowen8960 3 роки тому

      @Billy Rudd Well, that's for the most part correct. However, it's not just about a 4 year election. It's about getting rid of the Federal Reserve and putting control of our currency back into the hands of the people. Watch the audits!! The state audits are just the warm-up band. Eventually every state will be audited. This will reveal widespread, centralized cheating that will prove irrefutable.A pattern of consistency will be revealed. This will lead to the main act which is the auditing of the Federal Reserve. The deep state will then deploy all assets as Biden is removed from office and the military steps in to run the country. Stay tuned.

    I don't know, meet many miners if I did I'd tell them the same thing I tell the railroaders who are laid off " if you voted against ossama/Obama you have my sympathy, if you voted for Ossama/Obama you got what you deserve. None of this was a secret he said what he's do, just as Hiltabeast said later Ask yourself, how well is your union membership is served by being co opted by the Dems. None of that will change until those at the top of the unions are cleared out, considering how the system is rigged, that's not likely..
