Love this. Essentially most people are sell outs. Talking about whatever makes them money (70% of the time it’s about money). I only try to follow and consume authentic content
70% of the time????? 🤔 How about 99.9% of the time, it’s become a business, making videos for the sake of making videos hoping to get 💰💰💰 I can understand making a video offering a service, but making videos just to Bla, Bla, Bla, Bla... So tired of all the people offering worthless courses, selling useless products, giving nonsense advice, the list is endless
Very tempting to make suggestions to work on my issues :). Although, I don't want to influence or cause audience capture pressure. I will say I like the short direct topics, but miss the occasional long discussions you used to have every once and a while.
Authenticity is good. I like that the content here is wide-ranging, intelligently presented and thought-provoking. I'm sure you'll bring those qualities to any new topic that you care to discuss.
Just do you. Your audience will find you. I like your videos and the simple chat style format. They are just like learning from listening to someone with different experiences or knowledge on things and it opens my eyes to lots of places and issues that I hadn't considered. i don't need to live in an echo chamber to seek validation for my opinions, regardless if they are political, practical or personal. I'm here to learn and to consider the things you bring up and how they can help me reach my goals and objectives.
@@OffshoreCitizen I think your content is great, maybe discuss the types of companies someone can set up in Dubai, the UAE etc, or what's good and bad about different banks for international investors, things like that.
100% agree with your point of view. Often the most valuable pieces of content have very little views and that might be exactly because these authors don’t follow the mainstream narrative. What do you think are good ways to support creators in that case? Likes, comments? Maybe NFTs would be a good way to go in this regard. You back your favorite creators by real $$$ and in return you get a verifiable proof that you supported this type of narrative before it went mainstream which gives you some sort of status, bragging rights etc.
Comments and shares definitely are helpful with the algorithm especially when the comments include keywords for search. In some cases creators have patreon or similar I think that's good. I've donated to the Kickstarter of some of the creators I like.
I appreciate your in depth information on how things actually work and your advice, versus salesman promoting a specific Caribbean CBI or people who discuss topics in a simplified manner but you have to engage their services to get more.

The channel is great and very informative, even compared to more established channels like NC. I feel the thoughts you have are cogent and you often give detail that others would not on some strategies that are used. You might try to inject a bit more humor into the videos. Yes, the topic is serious, but it is achievable. Andrew Henderson does it quite well. Some of the crypto videos are very granular. I appreciate that, but when you start talking about impermanent loss on defi pairs or things of that nature, most of the audience are going to switch off. Another idea is to talk more about yourself and your life during the videos - insofar as you are comfortable doing so from a privacy perspective. Audiences generally appreciate the ability to connect with the host on some level beyond just the information given.
Right on! Stay out of the echo chamber! And about the crypto content... I would love to learn about this, but how? Short references to it is the same as speaking a foreign language that those out of that loop will not understand. I would love a video outlining the basic fundamentals, and some solid, sane resources for learning!
I did some videos on some of the basics a while ago but so maybe do some others. There's a channel called Crypto Whiteboard that does a bit of this. Also my one company authored the book The Wall Street Era is over to cover this I'd recommend it as a great getting started resource
As a professional marketer, I have a very different perspective on this topic. What I think your channel is missing is going deeper into individual topics. I find it hard to get the information I require on the topic that caused me to discover your channel to begin with. In my particular case, I am interested in Portuguese residency and taxation. If you were to want to cater to that interest of mine, you’d have a playlist called Portugal and within that playlist you’d have interviews with different accountants in Portugal and in particular those with experience with doing US taxes. You’d thoroughly examine the pros and cons of mainland versus Madeira. You’d interview lawyers to help understand what it is like to create Portuguese companies. You’d have a video on banking solutions in Portugal including those that are most crypto friendly. Using a bit of a tech analogy, you would help serve as a Zapier, that connects my US financial reality with Portuguese financial reality in terms of taxation and legality. And then anytime you mention Portugal in any of your videos you should mention that you have a playlist with much more detailed information. If you chose 20 or 30 countries/tax havens and went deeper into each of them, you’d be able to provide a journey for people from the top of the sales funnel when they are searching UA-cam for residency options, citizenship options, tax schemes, etc., all the way down to the micro decisions that one makes as they finalize the process. Your UA-cam channel comes across to me as a top of the sales funnel channel with no opportunity to get my next round of questions answered. Thus at that point, your audience will be looking for the country specific specialists, and even within the country specific specialist the ones who are addressing their pain points, their issues, those that propose solutions to their problems. Hope this helps.
Thanks, unfortunately, generally what you're discussing is too niche and we provide the expertise you're discussing internally so doesn't make a lot of sense for us to interview outsiders who most of the time don't understand the cross border considerations anyway. That's what people can contact us for. Also, a lot of these topics cross countries for example just because you live somewhere doesn't mean you should bank there so we tend to cover banking as its own thing not on a country by country basis. Similar for forming a company. You don't necessarily need to form a company in a place like Portugal, you can possibly form elsewhere and since Portugal is a terrible place to have a company we don't talk about that. Our objective is to identify how you can use multi country solutions (residency in one place, banking somewhere else, company somewhere else still) to get a better result than domestic solutions in any given place. This is the gap local experts aren't able to help you with. Finally, note that we don't try to give people everything they need to do it themselves. As a general rule when dealing with taxes and things like this it's a bad idea for people to try to do that themselves as they can fall into the "knowing enough to be dangerous" camp, which again is why people can contact us for more in depth assistance. This being said the country by country playlist is a good idea, one we can definitely work on.
