a lot of music is meant to make the audience laugh. even going far back as old jazz improvised solos. many musicians would throw in licks during a solo that would make people laugh or smile.
I can't imagine Mr. Kirkhope ever thinking his Banjo-Kazooie music being played by an orchestra some 15-16 years in the future. Thank you so much you talented, beautiful human being!
Idea 1: Banjo wakes up from a nightmare. Kazooie asks what's wrong. He proceeds to tell the plot of Nuts 'n Bolts. Idea 2: There is a car-related level on the game and Kazooie continuously states how that is probably the worst part of the entire game.
You can't deny how amazing the music in this game is. Well executed by the orchestra. I am so glad to see that a game this old still gets love and is recognized for the masterpiece it truly is!
Thank you for giving a game that doesn't get any attention an orchestral rendition... it was beautiful. Hearing these songs I know so well brought further to life through so many more dimensions brought me to tears... thank you,
Damn! This is absolutely perfect!!! :D Seriously... How don't you guys have more subscribers? You are all wonderful! Please don't stop! I love your arrangements. :)
Bright, brassy, lots of personality in the performance, just like for the original game. The mood for each component of the medley was spot on, as was the tempo. Gruntilda's Lair was great at the start with all of the instruments handing the melody off to each other. The transitions between pieces were great too.
I closed my eyes and smiled the whole concert feeling my inner child happy like never before. Living every memory during the time I played the game from the moment I woke up until it was time to go to sleep. Thank you for making me feel this way.
Hey Trent, one of the arrangers of the music piece here. Click Clock woods is my personal favorite level in the game, but I felt like we would not have been able to play it accordingly with all the bird chirps/bee sounds in the original.
If only we could all be kids again sitting on the floor playing N64 on a CRT TV. Worry and care free, pumped up on soda and candy until we started foaming out of the mouth.
Love how there is actual laughter in the audience. What other music do you know that is intentionally comedic without vocals?

Haydns "the joke" is pretty funny or the surprise symphony. Look up the story. Its great.
@GuineaPigOverlord Looks like it was the guy on the stage; second person to the right of the conductor.
They laughed because someone said GUH HUH
It’s the Kazooie bits with literal kazoos. Hilarious.
Ladies and gentlemen, one of the newest representatives in Smash.
This comment needs a reply.
And my god they look beautiful.
Yep
They came back home.
And some of the best character design and music of the 90s
Would pay excessive amounts of money to see this show.
Best Quebec show!
You and me both
Please come TO Australia !
Guillaume Duchesne damn was this in Quebec!?
@@rainbro8303 Yes it's a Quebec non-profit. Next June I'm going to see their Link to the Past concert :)
GUH-HUH!
MarkProductions real fans understand that
i really wonder how they did that...
guy 2 behind off the right of conductor closest to audience
I just died laughing
*knock knock knock*
It’s so hilarious thinking that their director just told them during practice “ok so here everyone have a kazoo”
I can't imagine Mr. Kirkhope ever thinking his Banjo-Kazooie music being played by an orchestra some 15-16 years in the future. Thank you so much you talented, beautiful human being!
banjo kazooie nuts and bolts used a live orchestra, so youre late on that.
+HoshiHearts RetroGaming I'm certain they meant the original classic, and not the abomination you mentioned.
The music was the only good thing about that travesty. Go listen to Banjoland and the Gruntilda battle.
I showed him this video on twitter and he liked it and when I said his soundtrack being turned into an orchestra he liked it as well
HoshiHearts RetroGaming okay, repeat after me: we do not, seriously, we DO NOT mention this game ever again.
Not often does a video bring me to tears, this one did. Can't express how much I love it.
I know right, brings back so many memories.
Couldn't agree more!
Bluefieldstar Chris play yooka laylee. Its banjo kazooie only with different characters
I guess you can clearly see a lot of heartbeats here with your sensor...
This video made me happy. :)
I am disappointed there is no banjo in this band.
Same. The lack of a banjo kinda hurts the experience, but hey, still overall a pretty good video.
But they did nail the byuh huh at the beginning
Instead they used a banjo sound from a keyboard
The Byuh-Huh wasn't made by them, the person who did it was someone in the audience.
@@MrRafaeltrainer Looks like it was the guy on the stage; second person to the right of the conductor.
Banjo Kazooie has an unforgettable soundtrack, I love this video.
00:00 - 01:12 - Intro
01:13 - 02:27 - Gruntilda's Lair
02:28 - 04:25 - Freezeezy Peak
04:26 - 06:29 - Treasure Trove Cove
06:30 - 08:04 - Gobi's Valley
We've added it to the description! Thanks!
Pretty good, but would have liked at least click clock woods added (IMHO the best song/songs of the series).
Sad that Spiral Mountain is not there.
Spiral mountain
@@jessedube173 Rusty Bucket Bay and Hailfire Peaks want a word with you ;)
God that intro gets me every time. It's just pure fun.
Celebrate my friends! Banjo-Kazooie is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Banjo-Kazooie are raring to go
Your mom is raring to go
King Kuhrool That’s an Old Insult.
You're kidding!! Unbelievable.
:D.
Came here straight from the Smash reveal, what a time to be alive
Grant Kirkhope’s work will live on for eternity, this is a good example of that.
The nostalgia... it burns ;-;
I've been waiting 20+ years to see this! Always wanted to hear Banjo-Kazooie orchestrated!
They even included King Sandybutt's theme 7:45 ... so awesome.
me: **notices a distinct lack of Spiral Mountain**
Grant Kirkhope, deciding which song of his to arrange for Smash Bros Ultimate: I gotchu fam.
if they ever made a banjo remake i hope they hire them for the music, they nailed it

Queenofawesome25 Yooka Laylee is pretty damn close and the music is getting me nostalgic. Fun game
you can play in xbox arcade games, a real remake of banjo-kazooie, it's awesome
Well it did have Grant as the composer.
They need a little bit more practice. There were some off-notes and rhythm issues in places.
Gobi's fucking Valley holy shit! Amazing performance!!!
You can't deny how amazing the music in this game is. Well executed by the orchestra.

My favorite of all times. I expent hours and days on this game when I was a child.
I cried a little
You cried a lot.
You cried even more after the Smash Reveal.

Special nostalgia, one of the best games ever, that was the days when people could make wonderful games on limited hardware
This is beyond amazing!
I love the Freezee peak, they made it sooo perfect
Because the fucking marimba didn't have a part for that section
This one is spectacular start to finish!
Who remembered playing this as a kid also I still have the game. Now I want to play it again! This is amazing
This is a masterpiece!
It's been so many years... but now they're finally here at last. Welcome to Smash, Banjo-Kazooie.
so much nostalgia in here
Absolutely amazing!!!! *.*

I closed my eyes and smiled the whole concert feeling my inner child happy like never before. Living every memory during the time I played the game from the moment I woke up until it was time to go to sleep. Thank you for making me feel this way.
Banjo Kazooie being confirmed in Smash brought me here.
2:53 one of my favorite parts
The way the Grant Kirkhope orchestrates the overworld theme to weave together the Various worlds is Masterful.
Usually I put videos on 2x speed. But NO! These guys always impress.
I just love it, greetings from Chile
The perfect combination of staying tru to the original and adding something new. Amazing work guys.
I can’t believe they did the Ka-zooie! These guys are dedicated to source material every time !!
Freezeezy Peak sounds so sweet!
This is absolutely fantastic!
BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL!! This made me cry *nostalgia overload* this is so beautiful to make any man cry 1000/10
no spiral mountain? thats the most iconic theme in the series
Swear to god man, once treasure trove cove came on, I felt a pang of straight longing to pick up my old n64 controller and play it over from the start
Wait, this actually happened?!
.....yeah.
You know what game needs to exist? Banjo Kazooie Rare Trilogy.
click clock wood?...no?...kay
still pretty neat though(specially at gobi )
yeah click clock wood is what made me originally find this video. its the most iconic melody of me gaming life
Hey Trent, one of the arrangers of the music piece here. Click Clock woods is my personal favorite level in the game, but I felt like we would not have been able to play it accordingly with all the bird chirps/bee sounds in the original.
Yeah, Click Clock Wood is great, but I prefer even more Rusty Bucket Bay.
Thank you I feel the same way!
Now i can die in peace. Knowing that next gen may get a remake of this wonderful game :')
Hail Microsoft and Nintendo! 🌟
Why Microsoft
Adam Bejar I guess because they let Nintendo have Banjo & Kazooie in Smash!
Utterly Brilliant
I've never cried at music before, even more so to music that made me happy?! It just brings back such good memories.
Nostalgic even though I'm twelve and have ok only played the first game!
Incredible! Absolutely astonishing!
Gruntilda's Lair is my favorite song from banjo kazooie I'm glad you played
IT HAPPENED BOIS!!!
Omg I was dead at Banjos “uh huh” in the beginning. LOVED THIS.
The treasure trove cove part was my favorite
Okay, everything here is done so perfectly I just have no words-
Actually had a bit of mistakes that u can hear if u listen
The aroma of how well the music is played in a huge hall, really gets me vibed up on pulling my N64 out and playing Banjo Kazooie.
Treasure Trove Cove was nigh on FLAWLESS. It brings back great memories.
Banjo kazooie. Gaming masterpiece with a soundtrack to boot.
Great performance
Absolutely love this, brings so much joy to hear such memorable tunes in a beautiful orchestration like this. A nostalgic and amazing trip indeed!
If only we could all be kids again sitting on the floor playing N64 on a CRT TV. Worry and care free, pumped up on soda and candy until we started foaming out of the mouth.
Oh my god.
I would love to see this live! Outstanding work!
Sublime
I almost cry.
Beautiful! Gorgeous!
I wanted to play this game again after 5 years
This is brilliant. Now I wanna play.
This nostalgia of when I was child made me cry
Grunty disliked.
Few wrong notes 😫
The four iterations of her did
Seems like her sisters and Klungo (?) joined in too...
Gérard Lacroix except for gruntilda's lair theme
Dislike this vid, you will not dare!
They nailed the music for my lair!
Freezeezy Peak ♡

This legitimately puts a smile on my face. 🙂
My favorite game ever! And you NAILED it!!
Made me tear up a little bit :D
This video game right here, taught me music. Bravo
hugs from Brasil! Congratulations!
Bless the person who went “Gah-huh!” And whoever decided kazoos should play a part
And there, my childhood smashed right into my face (in a good way). Didn't know grown man could cry over this...
