I currently live in Vancouver, and yes it can get really hot, though the cooler days tend to stay for longer, and night generally is a lot cooler. I've also lived in Montreal and Toronto before - Montreal is a lot hotter in the summer than Toronto, because Montreal's downtown has a lot more concrete and less trees than Toronto's downtown, and so the urban heat island effect is stronger. Canada Day in 2018 in both Montreal and Ottawa (where I was at the time) was 45 degrees C - not accounting with humidex, which would've been well over 50.
That’s true! I went to Montreal in mid May and it was around 35 degrees celcius already! Luckily now the temps in Toronto are making more sense. Thanks for sharing that!
Canada is too cold unfortunately. The weather beats Canadians down. You really only get warm to hot weather for 5 months (May-September). Then you have to deal with cold to freezing weather for 7 months (October-April).
@Sunflowy-ei9kl yeah it's really bad. You have October, November, December, January, February, March, and April. Cold cloudy miserable. That's just way too long. That's why i sold everything and moved to Mexico. Beautiful weather year round and it's been so worth it.
It rarely gets down to -22 in Toronto in the winter. No wonder people think polar bears roam the streets here 🤣 A lot of Canadians totally exaggerate. September still mostly has daytime highs above 20, often hotter.
Point taken. -22° is an extreme one-day, few-day thing that people need to be prepared for. At some point there will be a video about "how cold Toronto actually is".
I am a weather buff and am always able to make people re-examine their stereotypes about Canadian weather. I have soooooo many facts! Two interesting facts... 1. There are locations in Canada that frequently - albeit not normally - enjoy warmer concurrent winter seasons than Dallas, Texas. 2. The hottest temperature ever recorded in Canada is 121 degrees Fahrenheit. That's hotter than the hottest ever temperature recorded anywhere in Texas (120 degrees).
Summer because I more active then....can you do a vlog at partee putt because I wanted to see what you think of the place because I might go there I come to town next month! Have a wonderful day beautiful lady😘😘😘 xox
I would say where we live (2 hrs south of Toronto) it is very hot & humid from late May to September. Definitely June, July and August. Not from end of July…maybe it was unusual year… though Toronto is a little bit cooler where we live, I never needed a jacket in august. It feels like high 30s, even 40 here most of the summer. In fact, when we go to Florida every august, temps are similar as at home. Except far less rainy.
As someone who is ethnically indian but born and raised in the middle east 51° celcius is almost a common sight i wonder how cold would hamilton(the city i am moving to will be. ) Any tips !!

Had been to high park a couple days back. Enjoyed the train and I felt we could have had more options for food..!!
I agree, even just one small booth (in addition to the Grenadier Cafe!) that sells cold drinks would be awesome🥤

-20ºish Celcius in the winter is common. Innerwear is crucial, you can check out my videos in which I talk about winter clothing!
im going to toronto this thursday, is it still too hot to wear sweaters? should i bring tank tops? 😭😭
If you get cold easily I would bring sweaters (for May) and a light jacket. In July you don't need any sweaters.
meet you in june 2024 at same place
It feels like 74degrees Celsius💀
It does, actually feel somewhat like that!
@@LivinginCanada I think you may higher it up just a little bit
