Add some images of the keys you press when you perform a manoeuver (like the reverse). It may take you some time while editing but giving these keys while you press them in real time is crucial for begginers to understand what to press and when to press it
Thank you so much. I've been teaching myself thru a "trial by fire" method for awhile, but this cleared up a lot of misconceptions I had about aircraft in this game. Thanks :)
Waiting for the game to download/install...so watching videos and reading guides. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience. Looking forward to trying to master some of this. Thank you!
What is most helpful was the exercises you put up in Part 1. Like you said, I go to VR, dink around for 10 or 15 minutes, and make no progress. Maybe an obstacle course route in VR would be good.
It means more work for you while editing but making some kind of visualization of what buttons you press will make it easier to follow along with what you're doing.
So if I have less than 100 certs and nothing invested into any ESF's and want to become a pilot, should I just continue to practice? Or get certs through infantry combat.
InviteHimProductions In the beginning you should just spawn, fly an practice for gaining experience, not to try to earn certs even though any XP you can get is valuable. Gain your certs any way you can but don't expect a high certgain while flying in the beginning
MattiAceGaming So after I learn some of the techniques you showed in this and the first beginner vid, where should I go from there? Because I tried to fly once outside of practice and just got annihilated by a much more experienced pilot. It seems like there is a massive learning curve and its really hard to gain experience flying outside of practice because I just get shot down right away.
Hi MattiAce, good video for beginners! What is your opinion about the (nerfed) PPA on the scythe? Is it still viable or would you pick another gun + rocket-pods for A2G?
I do not believe the Light PPA for the scythe was changed in any way, excluding the new gun audio. It was the Proton PPA for ground vehicles that was nerfed.
I'm not 100% sure but when i began flying, the trottle wasn't assigned to any keys. I had to make it manually. I personnaly assigned it to G because my page down is on top right of the keyboard...not really practical.
I could notice a huge difference when I upgraded my Hover to lvl3 and it has helped a ton but I'm still a noob. There was a Scythe at our warpgate and he killed us in a 3v1 dogfight.
its to do with how the engines rotate, by pitching down you help to rotate them earlier, and the opposite is true for getting out of hover. quickly pitching down and then up again will get you into flight mode much faster than just pressing W alone
There are some scythes on my server that are able to move up and down very fast... I am doing the same, but they hit me just fine... Scythes are hard to hit, and that added makes it impossible. How would you be able to compensate for their fast up and down movement?
Im getting a better pilot day for day by watching your video´s, thank you for that!! hope to kill bad boy in blue some day on miller (guess you will kill me the first 500 times though)
Albert Képes Flying in PS2 is really hard in general and trust me, a lot of what you see in my videos are much harder, mostly it depends on who you fight against. I have several ESF tutorials and even a few beginners guides, you might want to start with them and get into the more advanced stuff later, good luck
MattiAceGaming I need to be patient about this, but it's very frustrating sometimes. :/ I'm going to VR to practice. Anyway thank you your guides. I will learn all of them untill i can repeat these great maneuvers.
It can be hard for a new players to learn flying. Not only do you have high ranked skilled players in the air, but you can get ezmode killed by aa or g2a lock ons. This guy along with trial and error let me get to the point where i can do 70 kills 5 deaths all in a reaver.

"On a scythe you dont have trusters to look at, you need to just feel it".
this was a nice tutorial. as i mentioned in the Part1, the step by step is nice, like "how to reverse"... analog-T,side-roll,pitch-down... fine fine.
Thank you very much for making these flying tutorials. Great job and I am looking forward to putting your advise into practice!
Monty Chitty Good luck
Just started learn ESF flying seriously.Thx for tutorials. More practices advices at dogfighting will be awesome.
Waiting for the game to download/install...so watching videos and reading guides. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience. Looking forward to trying to master some of this. Thank you!
Good luck mate, hope you'll enjoy the game =)

laijka I really can't set that up as of now, sry
Nice Video. Can you do a Q&A Video please
Great tutorial, very informative :D
one thing: the plural of aircraft is not aircrafts, its aircraft. 1 aircraft, 2 aircraft, no s.
Love the beginner guide videos. Ps2 is coming out soon on ps4 so these may be helpful for those console guys.
Helped alot thank you ^^

the scythe ppa didnt changed.. only the sound as far as i know

Thanks for the clarification!

nice video
at the scythe you only see the steam on hight graphics. if you play on low you cant see it.
medium you also see it its also affected by particles
dunno only know i cant see them
thanks for make video. i'll be training
Its all about the upgrades.....
No, this is about skill and experience mostly
I could notice a huge difference when I upgraded my Hover to lvl3 and it has helped a ton but I'm still a noob. There was a Scythe at our warpgate and he killed us in a 3v1 dogfight.
how do you use the mouse to move the aircraft i have to use keyboard or mouse keys
i'm trying to re-re-relearn how to fly in this game after a very long break. What ESF do you recommend for someone who is in pilot diapers?
Any ESF is viable really, personal preference is what it comes down to. Having visual thrusters (TR and NC) helps, but i personally prefer the scythe.
When entering hover mode, the video frequently mentions and demonstrates pitching down. Are there advantages to pitching down versus pitching up?
***** Pitchingup will keep you in flight mode or get you out of hover mode, you need to pitch down to get into hover

DatatheGenius Scythes are just hard to fight head on

sohosohigh Thanks for feedback! Badboy in blue is on Cobalt =)
MattiAceGaming
oooh, i thought it was on miller, my bad...do u have any miller account?
sohosohigh yes he do, u will know if u see him
So would this still work using rocket pods instead of the anti infantry nose guns?
Surely, big area damage, but you said this 1 month ago so I don't know if it matters what I'm saying
Emmanuel Villegas ok, thank you
Its completely impossible repeat these movements. I cant. Are needed some stuff like hover stability or something else?

I can't shoot anything. Frustrating. I can't aim, I cant't control I can't nothing. :/
No matter how much practice.
