Legendary mate thank you. Its freaking cool to hear. This game is so so underrated its one of the best games I've played all year. Not as refined as other but so refreshing and different. It should be like Palworld kind of hype but the rocky start and confusing early game def didn't help it. Hopefully over time it gets better and better with more people joining for the good times.
Love the video! One thing besides the pillar set up that someone else mentioned is that i use short stairs to help elevate turrets. So i put a short stair down in the middle of a tile, then a tile on top, then my heavy turrets can fit on top. Also helps to make sure the autoloader can see it! Also using angled tiles for turrets that are high up, they can attach to angled tiles and the firing angle will be better!
THANK YOU. I was trying to work out how to elevate stuff like that. For one thing smaller turrets can't really shoot over barriers properly. At least not spring barriers.
This is so damn helpful thank you. My current build is only ground floor and roof. Waiting on ATC extensions and at least 3 CIWS so I can fight Kronos for first time. Got the Knight mk.1 and had to just put it on the roof but can do snow ruins 2 without much difficulty, made 32k gold last tour with an event that gave 200% material value and another was 100% valuables gold.
So gald this was helpful :) For Kronos you can pretty much take him out without using the base. If you hit the vents it does tons of damage. This works really well with a sniper barrel or the barrel that shots one shot but does high damage. Otherwise waiting bit longer will be awesome and you'll smash it easy :)
Great video, thanks for putting out information to new players. A couple of key factors weren't mentioned though. The core does not need to be on ground level since stairs work both ways. This allows you to stack armored walls under it and give it a health boost. The same thing for tiles. If you want to raise an important tile's HP build 4 armored walls under it and it should get +200 per connected wall up to 900 HP. If you put another armored wall in the middle of the 4 walls you can get it up to 1100. Another thing to keep in mind is upgrade, Upgrade, UPGRADE your turrets. A single CIWS is better than three machine gun turrets combined and will waste far less ammo. This is hyperbolic, but mostly true. I currently have a ring of low tier turrets around my base that I use as a "just in case" with my autoloaders focused solely on more advanced turrets. With a core power of 1300 machine gun turrets struggle to get through even scorpions at Normal Lvl 4, but CIWS chews right through them. I recently upgraded my core power to 2800, but haven't gotten to test it out yet. Perhaps with enough core power the basic turrets will be more useful, but I find focusing the ammo run around game on the harder hitting and faster firing turrets just makes things easier.
@@SiNKiLLeR_ You're welcome. o7 I did have something I'd like you to look into when you get a chance. You mentioned that corepower raises turret strength by 10% per 100 power. This seems to work for turrets on the base, but seems to not work for turrets at a forward base. I've been trying to "link" the xboost fields, via titan spikes, to apply the base core power to the front with wildly differing results. If you could let us know if you find out anything in a future video that would be awesome. I'll keep testing and post if I figure anything out. PS. The CWIS seems to do more damage than the viper chaingun (DLC variant of the 30mm twin barrel.) You might want to compare the twin barrel to the CWIS to figure out if they are worth building. Though I imagine all will be replaced with hellfire turrets either way.
Thats a really interesting idea. I might try play around with this as well. I'll let you know if I get to it soon. If they release the DLC version as a stand alone micro transaction I'd get it but unfortunately just got he base version :(
@@SiNKiLLeR_ I got around to building a twin 30m. The viper autocannon does 1800 damage a shot with a fire rate of 1.5 seconds at 20 ammo a shot. The Twin 30 does 1800 damage a shot with a fire rate of 3 seconds per barrel at 40 ammo a shot. The viper has a max range of 8000 units, but the twin has a max range of 10k units. Seems you get more burst dps at longer range with the twin, but at the cost of more ammo. The viper is more ammo efficient, but shorter range and with less dps. For some reason the CIWS does 2000 damage with a fire rate of 10 shots per second and seems to be the better all around option. If the 2000 damage is on a per second basis then it would make some sense, but a lot is left unexplained.
Recent patch applied core power to turrets at forward bases, so that gets rid of the need to try to chain titan spikes together. Now if they could just do something about cataphracts and guardians becoming useless around wave 10 of the infinite mode.
Hi I have got all the research unlocked and am building up to build the last types of turrets. Just some info to do with the automation you need advanced ammo makers and advanced autoloaders to have completely automated ammo delivery. The advanced autoloader grabs ammo in a area (pretty much a utility tile size) and will pull ammo from that area into itself. The issues with moving CIWS range down is they are very important for knocking missiles down from bosses and tank spam. Also in case you don't know the 105mm artillery needs to be in direct mode and auto shoot to auto target (don't know if it works for others). If you have any questions feel free to ask. Also the dismantler is the only way to get gold from gear as they sell for insurance points.
One thing I don't think I heard you mention is that you can, if you wish, start your core tower above ground level. You can put things like advanced armoured walls or pillars under it as supports and it raises it by a level. And also boosts its health points.
@@SiNKiLLeR_ Sadly, something about the advanced walls makes them impossible to place in a pleasing pattern. It's something odd about how they snap to points. The best I could manage was putting the core tower at a 90 degree angle. Makes the start of each mission pretty weird because I spawn in facing a direction that isn't the "front". Still, I get a huge health boost on the tower from having it mounted on four of these and covered with aegis panels. The other side is blocked off with a huge stack of material crates.
11:03 another addition, its good to have 1or 2 ciws to max range and target only missiles . this way you're other ones are not switching between tagets
just 1 word, PILLAR, it will completly change your builds once you learn how to 100% utilize it 3 Pillars next to each other can fit 3 batteries or 4 generators per side(2 sides) Math per generator is: (connected pillar count - 1) * 2 * sides ... 21 pillars can fit 80 generators (21 - 1) * 2 * 2 ... thats 800 core power in 7 tiles Math per battery is: floor(connected pillar count / 3) * 3 * sides ... 21 pillars can fit 42 batteries (21/3) * 3 * 2 it also gives 3x Structure bonus 2 so +600hp to anything connected + floor and ceiling Limiting thing is slabs, you can find few per mission, around 20 per tour, but you can craft them with 1x fiber 2x ore, so you can boost it to like 40 per tour
Yer wow some amazing efficiency im going to look at this for the next build vid. Only thing that the pillars lack is adding core power like the panels do but the efficiency might make up for that. What do you reckon? Thanks for the great info ill be checking this one out.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Between every set of walls you can line it with Material Crates on the floor. Still not sure why some can go 1, 2 or even 3 stacked high, think it has to do with wall sides n such. Some are because the Utility Walls have Small Generators. Also a bit more advanced, you can build Pillars to hold floors up, these pillars have 3 placement points on EVERY SINGLE SIDE! but there is nothing iv found yet that only takes 1 placement point. BUT if you place three next to one another you can place six batteries on them. 2 can hold 4 generators (3 batteries/2gens per side). While the Pillars cost 4 Material load each and dont give Core Amp like Generic or Utility walls (2 Material Load each), they do save you SPACE. 3 Pillars = 6 Batteries. 3 Generic Walls = 6 Batteries. 3 Pillars = same space as 1 Wall. So later on if you feel you have enough Core Amp but still want Power Storage you can use Pillars. Just remember things need some balance. Im not saying get 1k power per 2k material or something weird, my current stats are...797 Power, 9340 Material and 1k Core Power, granted while typing this got some ideas of my own I need to try now. Oh and Hanging Machine Gun turrets...they arnt bad but placement is wonky cause there cannot be a turret using the same placement points as them on the same tile (them under and another turret above) but as long as there isnt collision between the assets, you can place a turret below them, aka Hanging turret with an MG below it.
Heya, Thanks so much for the great info, this sounds really interesting. Ill test this method and compare to the one in the video. Not 100% sure which is the most efficient. I really like the idea of laying all the same panels in lines to speed up the build process. Yer the pillar idea is also insane but they dont add core power so im wonder if they are worth wild in the end. Some great info thanks for sharing with us all.
@@SiNKiLLeR_ Core Power is easier to gain from Small Generators as they give 10 per, so 2 pillars next to each other = 4 small gens = 40 power, 2 pillars takes less space than a single wall but eats the same material load as like 4 walls. So it just comes down to your Material Storage Crates and Batteries. Do you need to place more? Go farming for materials or more likely money to shop farm. Also a tip unrelated to building but getting Tech Points early game...break doors. The average door has 600hp which can be shot off easily or use an ability. Three character types have abilities that can dish out damage while not using any ammo. Breaking doors can (not always will, depends on map) spawn Chasers. Chasers drop Tech Points and Data Cables like its candy compared to most mob types early (Woodlands).
@@SiNKiLLeR_ Thanks for the response. However I think you misread my question. I asked about the core's scan RANGE (how far it will detect items), not duration (how long it will show them for).
So from what I can tell it does increase scan range. So id say yes it does increase scan range. Getting to 1000 core power nearly scans the whole of most maps.

Thanks so much for the great info, this sounds really interesting.
Chasers drop Tech Points and Data Cables like its candy compared to most mob types early (Woodlands).
i wonder how the damage booster works... It says it boosts your turrets, but its only adding a "line" to one turret.
The damage boost can only be applied to one turret at a time. So one booster to one turret only.
@@SiNKiLLeR_ oh ok! thx for the info :-)
nice vid i contacted u via twitch
Sweet thank you :) you'll hear from me soon.
You don't happen to know if core power affects the core's scan range?
Yep it will increase the duration of the core scan :) that the core outpost not the core power .
@@SiNKiLLeR_ Thanks for the response.
However I think you misread my question.
I asked about the core's scan RANGE (how far it will detect items), not duration (how long it will show them for).
Oh sorry my bad was 4am my time. My understanding is it increases the duration and not the scan distance. Ill confirm and get back to you.
@@salking84 I saw a discussion about this, someone did say that it increases the range, but I'm not sure because I haven't specifically tested it.
So from what I can tell it does increase scan range. So id say yes it does increase scan range. Getting to 1000 core power nearly scans the whole of most maps.
what on earth is material load and what makes it go up/down? i've been looking all over the internet for an answer but there is no answer anywhere.
Hello,
There is no such thing as material load in the game. Not that I know of. There is some thing called Materials though. Is that what you meant ?
How to get savegames from another user? I can see the base in load game after copying the save folder but after loading I end up in a new game?
I've been trying to figure this out and so far I haven't been able to do it either. Doesnt seem to work. If you find out let me know and if I figure it out I'll let you know.
Is there a repositore for bases? Kinda like to see what people make.
Dscord is a good place for this. I'm going to make a video on different bases soon.
you can lift your core up levels
Awesome tip will be looking at that next vid. Thanks for sharing
Does anyone have the link for the game's discord? I can't seem to get any working links online, and the one in the video description doesn't work for me.
Did you have any luck finding it? Ill link it here if you need.
@@SiNKiLLeR_ Could you please? I tried discord link on the video and none of the channels show up when it comes up
@@SiNKiLLeR_ I have not been able to. I'd appreciate if you could link it here again.
How can you angle object in building
Hi vasco,
The latest tips and tricks video goes through that in detail.
@@SiNKiLLeR_ thanks I watch it and when in press ctrl can't angle vertically object. Anyway thanks a lot for you'r video
You need to build ramps to build vertical tiles.
