香港醫護人工高但病人比例不同，我太太在香港做言護士時是一位護士對八位病人這是日間夠人手分配比例，晚上是對三十二，這是九十年代的情況。 現在是一對三十五日間，你們想想病人會有服務嗎？ 在英國和澳洲是一對五，你覺得人工高有意義嗎？
做鐘點清㓗都會搵到生活。當然係會辛苦。香港人快手快腳。應該冇問題。
火車司機以tube driver最高 因為工種受法例保障 所以罷工完叫加薪都仲得 不過想入行諗都唔洗諗 非常難
另外civil eng係主要做計算 一單起樓起橋工程 建築師係負責設計 工程師就係計算 同埋同site既工人溝通/監工等等
香港果邊DATA唔夠UPDATE了, 香港醫生做幾年8~9萬己經好基本, 律師流流地挨7 8萬唔難而且頂薪無上限, 中學老師有番少少供資都可以見7, 香港人工其實真係好高.

Hi, I think you should show net salary after tax instead of gross salary and take into account bonus. In HK, people pay a lot less tax and have at least a month bonus for some of the jobs you mentioned in this video but in the UK there are hardly any bonus.

The doctors in Hong Kong are so overpaid because of the power of the association, don’t be superficial to judge other’s values based on the salary in one city. IT technicians, train drivers and engineers can also be highly educated and should deserve some respects, not like我真係接受唔到喎.

香港Engineer類型的人工太不準確，求其一個專業，畢業人工都差不多是影片裡的中位數，換工作分分鐘加30%～50%。Software和IT人工更高，我同學IT畢業時就3萬，依家5萬+，Data scientist 人工更是非常之高

IT pays SO well in UK. Iam an IT recruiter but the experience gained in HK is ma ma and HK seems far behind from the CVs I've seen. UK Software developer salary £60k-£100k! Entry level £40k+
Actually the entry level ones are £23k+ here. Although jobs accepting juniors and those who don't should be consider separate category job when talking about salaries.

香港做老師應該辛苦過英國超級多，我仔幼稚園K2開始揸筆，英國幼稚園小朋友玩沙😁。有個紀录片俾英國學霸去南韓返中學，話頂唔順，好大壓力。。。。。🤣勉強跟上節奏，其他學渣去普通學府返學，話大壓力，跟唔到。香港同南韓差唔多大壓力，我老公初中去英國讀書同香港比，好輕鬆。香港老師人工高有原因。

The comparison is very superficial. Is it just entry level? For example, qualified and experienced solicitors are well paid in Hong Kong.
Solicitor international law firm(i firm)黎講分別唔大，因為香港同london都係ifc。香港黎講 trainee solicitor 5萬左右，solicitor 8萬起薪 partner 年薪加埋bonus可以去到8位數字。當然要睇你做咩practice area, 搵到客果話米搵好多囉，沒客幫唔到law firm賺錢米食蕉lo
如果local firm當然人工低幾果grade
Data science, analytics, IT 係香港你好勁果話係金融業前景好好，好多大firm或fortune 500既CEO, head undergrad 係computer science related, 呢點universally applicable

The patient ratio is more important than your salary. A job is not aimed for high salary but job satisfaction. My wife resigned from her hospital job in HK because she was sick of the heartless management. Sadly this is the global situation. In Sydney nurses are fighting for 1 to 4 patients ratio. If you used HK patient care ratio now she will definitely choose to work in Sydney. You have more job satisfaction in life and not determine by monetary value. Quality vs quantity is not comparable.

Zero sum game only. 購買力才是最重要。十萬人工一個月，扣除標準稅率，所餘幾多？只夠住一個四幅牆嘅小空間。在 uk, 一個 Graduate Engineer 工作五年已經可以住 semi detached house 連花園、車房。揸一部 BMW 亦係affordable. 如此生活質素，在港工作有得比嗎？

AKA BIG APPLE or BAD APPLE, Singapore or Canada, New Zealand might be a better place to be,不自由 毋寧死，橫掂也是大陸人上中⛰️住，美國很多科技和工程人員少年才從內地到西方工業國升學，知識靠基礎，香港的小學教師盡心盡力，父母在高薪國家工作，孩子在內接受小學和初中教育，長大才去高薪國家升學，美國私校8年大學 US$800,000+/-, 學費雜費加住宿，美國人工，日本老婆，中，意，法廚師。
Data Scientist響香港人工低既原因係好多公司都當佢哋係普通寫程式既人請.
實際上由其係請間公司既第一個負責人一定要真係知到Data Science係點玩, 如果唔係個project好大機會會幾年後發現根本唔用得而total lost.
我識得既人做果間公司就基本上只能靠referral入去. 你畢業既時候冇俾學長睇中就基本上唔可能再有途徑入.
當然, 一啲銀行之類既公司仍然會請外人.

Pretty shocking to hear how software engineers/IT workers are regarded in HK. Software engineers in San Francisco can expect to earn over US$100K/yr (>HK$65K/mo) as a fresh grad or US$150K+ if they work for a top company like Google, moving up to US$250K+ after a few years. Granted, San Francisco is not representative of the US, but it has a similarly high cost of living as HK. And the median software engineer salary in the US is still $110K. You'll earn less at some unknown firm in middle America but live much more cheaply as well.
In the US, tech workers are stereotyped as wealthy, and software engineers are not really regarded as "IT workers" in the sense that the former evokes Silicon Valley while the latter brings to mind someone who fixes your computer.

我準備喺德國返consultant（啱有offer），其實歐洲software engineer 都唔係賺得多，有五六萬歐羅稅前已經好好，稅後都係兩萬幾港紙
美國係特例中嘅特例，全世界想賺大錢都想去，冇得拎嚟比
就連當地嘅強項機械同汽車工程你單身稅後想上30k hkd都好難
我個consultant offer 0 exp起薪70k euro gross（~30k hkd monthly)已經係好高，有部份software engineer如果唔係大公司， 十年exp都未必有呢個數
但德國喺年假，社會保障同job security 比美國好太多，只不過唔適合有野心想賺大錢嘅人，我都有考慮做幾年過瑞士德文區賺錢，人工平均係德國兩倍
Despite the high salaries, software engineers are not actually professionals. There are many people who do not have software/any IT-related background are able to get a 'software engineer' titled job through self-learning programming / joining online bootcamp for several months or half a year. Even there is Computer Science major in college, being a software engineer does not require a CS degree. Professions are defined as some specific careers that strictly requires higher education by formal educational systems, which is 4-year colleges + graduate schools. Someone who does not have educational background in those specific fields will never have chance to practice/get into the industry of professions. For example, if you didn't go to med school, you cannot be a doctor, so doctors are professionals.

I'm a civil engineer, my salary > £50k. Salary + NI is about 26% of my salary, not 40%
40% tax only apply to your wages over 50k. so if your wages is 51k, you will be taxed 20% on the 50k and 40% on the 1K.
ofcos no tax on your allowence which is the first 12.5K
So over all is not really 40% tax on the entire £50K

倫敦地鐵司機年薪大概£60K至£70K仲高過火車司機，所以下次喺倫敦地鐵站見到啲工作人員由其是黑人，唔好用歧視眼光去望佢，佢哋分分鐘人工高過你！！仲有英國教師有特別退休金，類似香港97年前政府公務員退休有長糧食，仲係同通脹掛鉤添，幾和味㗎！

美國土本工程司畢業 US $75,000.00 年薪起跳，depends which Colleges grade, UI champagne, MIT ... 名校可以去到十萬年薪，一般、 junior to Senior 都會有summer’s job internship. Medical Doctor, residents 3 年到7 年實習。睇吓乜專科，實習完經過考試合格有牌，年薪有美元180,000 至300,000美元不等，當然有好多其他因素不能詳盡呢兩條八婆真係喺度廢噏！
而家一個做十二小時嘅保安仔已經月入 21,000
香港政府失誤嘅經濟規劃所賜。讀完碩士去考救護員、工商管理副學士去做保安，已經吾係乜野新聞。

correction - locum doctors have very high earning so what you said might be misleading (i.e. trainee doctors)
I think salary in USA is so much higher. My son is an I.T. Dog and his income is over $150K US dollars per year.

美國人工高好多 我地呢度生活指數咁低 但我做software developer 都有145K 一年 大約港幣八萬蚊一個月 雖然都係要扣税 但税比英國少

Train driver 可能是很悶的工作，所以很多driver 都有drinking problems

Omg, you consider £55k is the highest paid. If you live in London with family and don't earn £100k, your life will be rubbish. Even you live outside London, I think ppl should earn at least £70k. Otherwise you end up no life.

What benefits do doctors get? None if you work for the NHS. We still have to pay for our private insurance if we choose to get it. Have you heard about hospital parking as an employee? Good luck trying to find a spot if you don't turn up first thing and some hospitals are known to make money from the parking - it's often not free even for staff or there's a waiting list for a permit!
