    I’m always green with envy watching Simon Baxter so I’ll be watching here for inspiration in less flattering woodlands here in eastern US.

    I just discovered you… You make me think of a guy you probably know that I follow since many years. It is Thomas Heaton, calm video, very technical and everything.
    But what catch me a lot from you is your macro photography with light and aluminum. I really love your work, nature is so beautiful in these forest, where we need to take more time into.
    You gain a new follower for years, and I hope your hard and excellent work will get you wherever you dream of!

      @@DanielAucoinFineArt When did you start taking pictures in your life? Did your family take a lot of pictures when you were growing up? You are very avid @ detail!!! Your pictures of businesses cannot be put into words other beyond greatness of any advertising I ever have seen.

    I follow lots of photographers on UA-cam (including Simon Baxter). I find your production values, for video, your photos, content and narrative, are absolutely top level. Many thanks again for a beautiful video and good learning.

    Good stuff. I like the walk around to gauge what the best angle is. I find myself being too impatient and always regret not spending more time to think about the composition. Have to remind myself to slow down and breathe.

    Merci Daniel. Greetings from Ontario. Simon Baxter is lucky to have access to those old growth forests with gnarly old trees common to the UK. It's nice to see you work with new growth forests here in North America. Where about's was this location?

      It is near my parents' home in Edmundston, New Brunswick. I shot this in a tree plantation - such a magical place! Thank you for the comment!

    Very impressive images, considering the kind of woodland you were at. It looks much more like our woodlands here, unlike those ancient british fairytale woodlands in Simon's work (which I obviously adore). I'm really enjoying your content, so please keep on!

    awesome as usual! Why the high ISO and slow shutter speed instead of a low ISO and faster shutter speed? You are not trying to smooth out water or clouds, so I just don't get why. Thanks

    • @kevintewksbury5670
      @kevintewksbury5670 5 місяців тому

      I meant a low iso like 100 for less noise and a SLOWER shutter speed (not faster).
