Finally, a fun tribute to one of the most beloved television clans, the Barkleys. So, here's my thumbs up to that unforgettable show, The Big Valley (1965-1969).
I love this video, it's so lighthearted and fun! One of my favorite BV moments has always been: Jarrod: Where's Nick? Nick: WHERE'S JARROD!? Jarrod: There's Nick.... Thanks for sharing!
Poor Nick usually ended up being the comic relief, but Victoria and Jarrod in Mineral Springs were the funniest to me. Stanwyck and Long played off each other so well I did more than one spit take watching that episode. Nice video here, bringing back some of the more light hearted moments. Thanks.
They're both over 80 now. Stanwyck would be 117 this year, Long would be 97 and Breck 95. If you really want to feel old, remember that Long died 50 years ago this year. No, I have no idea where the time went, but this great series doesn't seem to age.
That WAS fun! Thanks for putting it together! It brought back a lot of happy memories and provoked more than a few giggles. The BV was a great series and I'm glad there are plenty of other folks around who appreciated it too. There was a lot of genuine tension and drama in the show, but it definitely had its funny moments, and you've managed to gather a whole bouquet of them together. What a delight! THANK YOU!!
That tickles me pink! I've been watching The Big Valley on MeTV and I love it! And of course, MmmBop has always been one of the main anthems of the 90s, so that just enhances the awesomeness! Thanks for making this!
LOL Yes, I also like that they're a little more mature - the Cartwrights have a tendency to act more like boys vs. the Barkleys have a more adult approach to situations.
@@bigvalleylover2 which at the same time took away from the whole premise they were quite old to still be living at home, that is the reason Adam/Purcell quit Bonanza because the producers didn't want to allow the boys to get married and have their own lives....
Aww, jee.... Thanks. :) There's a BV website where people spend hours chatting about their favorite character or episode, and I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit that I'm one of them.
That one's "The Jonah", season four episode. Well, there's only one cure for forgetting BV episodes. I'm gonna pull out my discs and have a BV marathon.
The scene with Audra, Jarrod, and Nick is from By Force and Violence when Heath and Victoria head up to the lodge ahead of the rest. Heath gets caught under the wagon, and Victoria goes to get help. Bruce Dern stars in this one. In this scene, Jarrod was mentioning to Nick and Audra about an escaped convict on the loose near the lodge, and wondering if they need to go up. They decide not to because they figure Heath can handle things.
LINDA EVANS WAS A BOMBSHELL EVEN IN THIS SERIES. WHAT A BEAUTY! THEY DID NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY IN THE WESTERN DAYS, YET THERE ARE HANGING LIGHTS AND WALL LIGHTS ALL OVER THE BARKLEY HOUSE IN CASE NOBODY NOTICED. DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER THE SHOW HONEY WEST? THEY FILMED QUITE A FEW SCENES AT THE BARKLEY MANSION IN HONEY WEST.
It's called The Big Valley Writing Desk. They post pictures, talk about their favorite characters, have episode discussions. It's so much fun - addicting really. I'm pretty sure it's still active. Have fun!!
In which episode was the scene at :43 with Nick looking in the mirror? Thought I had seen them all but didn't recognize this one. Thanks and very nice video!!
Great actors all with great chemistry and excellent writing. Best tv ever.
Who is watching this in 2020? Can't stop smiling! Ahhhh, the good memories...
June 2024!

Linda Evans and Lee Majors are the only surviving members of the cast of one of the most beloved series.

God, how I wish they had saved the outtakes from this series.
I'm not sure there were that many. This show was on a tight schedule, and the actors were pros. I'll bet they didn't mess up much.
"Where's Nick?"
"JARROD!"
"There's Nick."
Love this fun video.

Isn't it from "By Force and Violence" (the one where Heath is trapped under the wagon)?
What's that episode at 3.11, where Jarrod is messing with the donkey?
What episodes are 0:29 and 1:36 from?
could you tell me the name of the episode where jarrod loses his sight? It would be much appreciated. Thanks for all the videos!
