    This has to be one of the most beautiful luxury cars from that period of time. Cadillac and Lincoln big sedans had nothing on the graceful, subtle lines of this beast, and the interior luxury was something to behold. In my opinion, this car was the most beautiful large luxury sedan we had in the US, and this example in this color combination was stunning! Thanks for posting this video

    My dad had a two-door ‘75 LeBaron, and after Imperial went away, he followed up with a couple of 4-door New Yorker Broughams in different colors than this one, but with the vent windows. These were beautiful cars. I hope this one found a good home, a forever home!

    Most people I know would say i'm crazy, but this car is the most beautiful car ever made. Lincoln and Cadillac are nice cars, but they just can't compete with the style, class and over all beauty of the 1974&1975 Imperial LeBaron. I WANT ONE............BADLY!!!!

      The big Chryslers of that era had quality control problems that big Oldsmobiles, Buicks, Cadillacs, Mercurys, and Lincolns did not have. Lincolns from the 1970s have the highest collectable value among those biggies, except Eldorado convertibles. My 1976 Town Car is an amazing machine. These Imperials/later New Yorkers do have beautiful styling and their 4-wheel disc brakes were class leading. My favorite is a 1960 Imperial Lebaron.

    Thank you, nice ride! My parents had one when I was growing up....I can still remember spending the day Saturday washing and waxing all 3000 feet of this car (ok so exaggerating just a bit) just for the privilege of taking this beauty out for a cruise on a Saturday night. While all my friends had the "fast cars" as it turned out...the cruiser was the way to go. With comfortable seating for 6 and the 8 track/ FM stereo (with 4 speakers) it was party central... I miss that car to this day.

    Notice back then luxury cars unlike today's used thick quality carpet and padding and the seats were like sitting on a couch seat.
    The door panels also were luxuriously padded with beautiful leather and thick carpet accents in addition to quality chromed metal fixtures unlike today's cheap chromed plastic even on so called luxury cars.

Lamborghinis are for inexplicably-affluent subhumans, whose brains have never progressed beyond what is normal for a 9-year-old human of average intelligence. For humans who're above-average, zipping-around making noise in a silly conveyance, is something which loses its appeal, somewhere around age five (if not sooner).

    These cars were a steal at $7700 in '74 and $8800 in '75 vs Lincoln and Cadillac. Because they looked alot like lower priced models is why they were discontinued, but Chrysler was ahead of the curve with four wheel disc brakes and solid state ignition in the '74 models. They had more horsepower than the competition in both '74 and '75 (Keep in mind Cadillac used the 472 in the Fleetwood in '74 and the 500 in '75). I know Chrysler's quality was abysmal in the late '70s but really don't know about Imperial's quality that much. Plus, Imperials just looked nice. I'm a Lincoln person primarily and really like the 1975-78 Town Car/Town Coupe ('79 they discontinued the 460 so I wouldn't even consider those) but the Imperial is a close second. I'm just not a big fan the Fleetwoods from 1971-76, though I do like the 1977-79 models.

    • @EbonyBunny1
      @EbonyBunny1 6 років тому +2

      Twilight. In the 1990's they were Chrysler again. Before 1955, but I do not remember the years, some models were part of Chrysler, some were it's own division. I agree Chrysler never knew how to market the car. That is why it sold the least, compared to Cadillac, Lincoln, & Continental. Ford did the same with Continental. Sometimes Continental's were their own division, other times they were part of Lincoln. But the difference was Lincoln was still a luxury car. When Imperials were part of Chrysler, the Chrysler division of Chrysler was luxury brand. Chrysler should have kept Imperial separate. Separate dealerships, separate literature, separate ads.
