One of the oldest citrus farms is closing in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. I guess a lot of the orange groves are dealing with citrus greening.

Driving in central Florida away from the beaches a couple of years ago I couldn't believe how beautiful the countryside was down there!

That's cool that the railroad crossing still says SBDRR, that's the Seaboard System, now part of CSX. If you want to know about railroad stuff in Florida, Distant Signal is a great channel.

Tampa Jay it did not have the red tip but to find the classic of smokes candy. Heck I wish I could have one also in 2023 it was fun doing my daddy.
I wonder what these places looked like at their peak. Like when the RR ran near that packing house with dozens of people working there. Just fascinates me. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your acting debut. Hope you don't get addicted to those candy cigarettes. You might need the patch to help you kick that habit. 😊

Just a small little grid not much going on there, but definitely a small town.

I could have sworn you wee doing something like this well before 2020, like it was your "OLD FLORIDA" film series, that is how i found you on your channel, "bloody bucket bridge" was my first for you, during Halloween season 2017 i believe, but after that you were introducing your videos as "OLD FLORIDA", but this is a good combo though, we are getting both old, and old abandoned places at the same time. i don't think you'll run out of content.
You are correct I was doing this way back in 2017 however I made it more of a thing in 2020. Good memory.
I want to go metal detecting in some of these areas, especially where train depots once stood or still do...
