Reminds me back in 2005, this song played on Tsha Tsha series as Zolani's character was about to leave for Joburg to pursue a career in music. Then, during the Generations advert, while playing the montage of actors to enhance the intensity of the emotions. I even recall singing this and one of my childhood friends dismissed me from singing it, cause it didn't fit with what was popular back then. All very different genres to this, I know, but Mt. Eden remixed these vocals a while ago and I had completely forgot. After reminiscing the (now uncomfortable to listen to) dubstep I came to here. This whole album is spectacular. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to find it .... and I wasn’t expecting dubstep to lead me here.
This song takes me to 2008 in Cape Town after a long day after work ,watching the sunset with hopes of a better day tomorrow ( I was only 6 btw in 2008, that’s how special this tune is it takes me to a specific time and place I haven’t been to)
