Love that you're talking about this, ladies! Agree completely on how journalism does a poor job detailing what happens to animals. Like y'all mentioned, talking too much about animal abuse can be a subtle reminder of veganism - and if you're not vegan, that internal conflict is something that is difficult to face 😬

A lot of omnivores won't speak out against animal cruelty because they see it as an all or nothing choice
they are right. They should stop consuming ALL animal products. Because they don't want to stop consuming animal flesh/secretions, they would rather keep their mouth shut and just be "normal"

Another thing I see is my local news reporting on the birth of animals bred and born in captivity. It's painted in such a celebratory light with the newscasters oohing and ahhing🤮Loved this conversation. Very inspiring video to use my voice and respond to journalists!
I went on a study abroad in Greece and we had the option to ride a donkey and I didn’t and I told everyone in my group how they’re not meant to carry people and they’re abused and no one listened to me and then someone said they regretted it after because they didn’t seem like they’re being treated well and at that point it’s too late they already participated and encouraged the business by giving them money. I was so frustrated

I’m confused and it’s probably just a mistake (and I know we are humans, we make mistakes so no judgement) just to clarify, when you said lions belong in a safari, you meant in the savannah right? I mean I could be making a mistake here too, but I thought safaris were those trips people do to watch and/or hunt animals (and it’s like a zoo because people are still using animals for entertainment, photographs, etc.). Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you :)
Can animals have jobs? Quality of life is important to any job but for the most part work equals suffering.
You failed to even mention the millions of birds killed each year by wind mills. You should take a stance to save the birds.
