To be honest sweet totally fooled me too to think the way he expressed it that "staying on the hight" meant all of the area between the rock and truck, not just that one tall rock.. but yea going to same corner together not very pog
Exactly, his comms were not clear (especially if that's what he really meant); not to say his teammates didn't mess but still, accountability is important
Pro players who play that zone know the height is that rock...that's no excuse. They really kinda threw there. Hate supporting Sweet but he is right here lol
@@lakshman94no those were horrible comms. He also said, “can we bully this team.” And should have the awareness that his team left the ultimate height. There was a good 15 seconds of sweet being completely oblivious to where his teammates were. Inexcusable from a pro player to lack that type of awareness, give that horrible comm, and then panic back and get everyone shot in the back trying to take height back. This is coming from someone who thinks Sweet is one of the best IGLs but the only one who sold was him.
Nate not throwing Bang ult early messed them up. This is the thing, Sweet's micro is so good that Nate and Gild lose a sense of proactiveness
At this point, his IGLing actually harms the team. This is what Hal meant when he said he expects his teammates to be able to think, because you can't handhold 2 people while IGLing in high stakes tournament.

yea. such a waste of talent, especially Gild. when it comes to combat, Gild is one of the best out there, if hes not able to be proactive, yikess.
that's what happens when as a team you're relaying on your igl to say literally everything, they don't do anything using they're brains, they can't get good chemistry like that, sweet can igl anyone like that but he can't comprehend them

he is so hard to understand, one sec he is crying about the state of comp and having to get better everyday, the next he is vibing with alliance like he never said anything

@@XI3NE Nah, he's not really into joining and probably never will join a competitive team but you know, Mande and Alliance, they're like peas in a pod, very good friends. He'd rather be there for them, and support them. If Effect had a chance to play, Mande would drop everything, even hop on a flight back just to stream on the same day. That's how much he values his friends - putting their needs ahead of him not liking competitive.
Sweet raging is just as funny as hal when he's malding with his team mates as well.

This team will not last. Anyone who has watched NRG in scrims lately can see the vibes are just so bad. Gild will leave for another team and Nafen will retire from Apex. Sweet and Nafen barely play the game already.

This was a tough moment for sure on a tough day. But what happened yesterday? Oh yeah, NRG rebounded with a 4th place in scrims. To all the comments overreacting with takes like “this is the end of nrg” or “Sweet just doesn’t have it anymore” I would recommend you calm down and wait until after champs. Nrg had one bad week of scrims when they were playing without their coach on high ping, something tells me that once those two issues are gone we will see another solid top 10 performance at LAN out of the boys. Who knows, maybe they even win one.
Sweet literally says he wants to bully truck team to the low ground and then calls he's ahead of the bang ult, then afterwards complains that his team isn't holding god rock which is out of los of the truck. I feel like he's at the point where he just makes both calls so he can complain afterwards no matter what the outcome is. "But I said this and I said that, dogshit team mates!"

Sweet's IGLing is undoutedly harming the team as it doesn't allow his teammates to think for themselves, much like Evan or Reps knowing when to Ult without Hal's input right as shit hits the fan. Nafen bang ulted way too late, and the pair decided to cradle up with Sweet in the corner for no reason when they both had high ground on the hill/rock and even Sweet stated 'Im gonna walk up on this close corner' - he never said 'we'.
His Macro is very good, but he's practically hand holding them both which is limiting them since they take a backseat and just gotta aim at this point. They're unable to be proactive because of it
Its funny how people will say Sweet is a better IGL than Hal just because of this style of IGLing. They think IGLing is handholding.
Sweets a dog for throwing his teammates under the bus he originally said “let’s try get big entry damage here” so the fragger walks up then just gets flamed by sweet, if they weren’t close to him sweet dies for free anyway he was so close to alliance
One could also argue that whole entire space is high ground so his igling wasn’t clear at all there but chose to blame his teammates..

Naaah to be fair in most situations it’s stupid for your 3 man to all be in the same spot and no, sweet doesn’t die here if he’s alone since he clearly had no issue getting out in the clip, as soon as they cat walled he decided to dip. His team didn’t really do much to aid his escape.

Sweet could have just reinstated that they needed to hold height. He could have easily said “We need to hold height, you two stay on height” rather than saying “We need to hold height the rest of the game” as he is pushing. I’m just saying although it was clear they needed to hold height, in the heat of the moment you need to say it multiple times. That’s why Hal and Zero are so good at being an IGL’s, they are aware of how their teammates may interpret their words. Not trynna tell Sweet how to do his job tho, he is still a good IGL, I just see how that situation may have played out in Nafen/Gild’s minds.
Sweet is the most micromanaging IGL in the game and you figure hm, he should micromanage some more. His teammates are seasoned comp players. He shouldnt have to ELI5 every single action to them. Some things should be pretty obvious

I reckon 1000% if his teammates holds position like he said and don't follow him, he still downs first like he did in this clip. Like clockwork same result he'll cry and blame his team again.

He didn’t walk up on the team solo he walked up further ahead behind a rock and was getting good damage. Thats the problem, they didn’t need to walk up right behind him. He was literally fine and dipped as soon as the other team cat walled. If you and your team is peeking damn near the same angle you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s literally almost always better to be somewhat spread out and to hold different angles to prevent the whole team getting walked up on. And yes Sweet went down first but he wasn’t the 1 who got cracked 1st which urged the truck team to be more aggressive
If his teammates held their spot they wouldn’t have gotten pushed so easily. First to fall doesn’t automatically mean it’s your fault or u made a mistake💀. Did u not notice not only nafen bang ulted late but him and guild was absolutely getting shitted on while Sweet was full health for the most part and even when Sweet was trying to cover them Nafen smoked him off for no reason which prevented Sweet to see the other team go up the Horizon Q.
