What speakers would you have kept? I actually kept 3 pairs of Sony and one pair of Pioneer from the micro system lot to play around with! Can see them at 15:14 when I take the smoke alarm off the ceiling 😛
These JVCs from 44:08 They are the least ugly pair from the entire video and look quite decent but idk how they really sound. Other ones just look like they're begging to be destroyed.
Crazy to see you’re still active on this site, I remember watching your demolition videos as a kid years ago. Sentra Sunday was a classic! Keep on going
I love how chaotic this video is lmaooo. Garret has truly mastered the art of speaker destruction and it's great! What's even better is that he's genuinely having a good time too.
From breaking a nindendo console to piss people off to being at 100k subs with more speakers blown up than everyone else, Thank you for the wonderful 16 or so years on youtube
14:38 been there before, blew an amps fuse once, looked over it when I plugged it in thinking it was off, and BOOM blew up right in my face and scared the shit outta me, I genuinely felt it when you panicked there
Subscribed since forever, atleast since a little before middleschool. Short to say; I am a grown man now. Lol You disappeared for a little bit a couple years back, but sometime in 2020 you came back and it's just been awesome. I used to be (and kinda sorta still am) super into sound systems and speakers and stuff as a kid, still remember tearing apart my mom's poor PC speakers because I was fascinated by them, lol I've never said anything about it before, so I'll say it again; it's super awesome that you're back and posting and stuff. The amp blowing up was my favorite part haha. You should blow up amps more often! - Chris P.S. Whatever happened to that CS-800 or C8-800, whatever it was, the old Peavey amp you had? The big ass commercial one? I haven't seen it in your videos in YEARS. I have always wondered what happened to it, whether you blew it up or just sold it or something.
Hell yeah I can’t wait to see this!! Ayy i had those aiwas at 19:51 haha Anddd there go the long awaited Jvc gigatube lol, gonna have to finish this later I gotta work
You have no idea how happy i was to see you were still uploading when i found out earlier this week, used to watch your speaker blowout videos all the time as a kid and forgot how much joy it gives me! Congrats on 100k!!
As one of your followers from the first hours i want to say CONGRATS and fucking finally!!! Thank you for all the Years of hard work with providing all the technical background on your destruction videos. Loved it and will always do. My mind is back in those times, when UA-cam and the entire internet was a better place than it is now.
Dude this video was insane! Smoke, sparks, fire, destruction! 😁 Huge congrats on the 100K milestone. That Hannah Montana guitar is proving to be indestructible!!
some day i wish to collect a bunch of microsystem speakers, but instead of destroying them, i daisychain a bunch of amps together to make a mega-microsystem.
14:54 possible things: electrical faliure, physical faliure, failure to go off on overload protection, possible shorts within wiring, failure to go off on short protection, and possibly errored causing it to over current its self. just a heads up if your waondering why 👍
You're indeed still here! I also watch you since years and years! Great job man! That egg in that speaker was hilarious as F! Almost made me spit my drink out :P
They are incredibly cheap to make, as I was looking at some 1997 Sony speakers. First of all the box doesn't have any decent padding, just some kind of ugly sponge somewhere. Then there is no crossover in the system, just a crappy capacitor to protect the bass tweeter. Then normally in those systems you can see a small silver tweeter, it's practically fake, it doesn't handle any power at all, it's a piezoelectric toy tweeter. The “main” tweeter is made of paper, it has an extremely crappy response. My improvements for not buying new speakers (I can't buy new ones, bringing good speakers from abroad costs an arm and a leg due to the weight) 1- Apply acoustic padding in the box 2- Buy a new silk tweeter 3- Put a second order two way crossover in the system. Then the amplifier, or better called “head”, well, I can't say much since mine wasn't working. But from a brief analysis, I determined that they are of mediocre quality. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
I was not expecting that on the 'square' Sony, at least with the APMs it was an actual square driver. Typical foam rot as well - I had a pair of half decent APMs (can't remember the model number), but ended up chucking them out as there was no replacement foam available.
I have two pairs of vintage APM right now, Need to re foam and repair, cabinets are in bad shape a guy took them apart not thinking anyone would want them with foam rot, one set is a 10 inch two way the other is a two way 6 inch woofer and 10 inch passive radiator all square Edit: I had to special the 10 inch foam from some wild place I forget! The smaller foam is available from china
RIP amplifier. You should take it apart and show what burned up. I'd say a output stage shorted and sent voltage downstream to the power supply/ or amplifier driver boards. That was pulling some amps when u reset it the first time, the hum it made before it tripped the breaker on it, then the reset and frying of the boards. I'd be interested to see what all got blown up from it. That does suck it died though, but i bet the output stages couldnt take the direct short of the outputs and said yep i'm done, send voltage downstream.
WHAT! That Hanna-Montana guitar is still smashing stuff? Use it as a pile driver! Love these classic speaker spooking videos! The stupid looking plastic speakers are just ASKING for the “treatment”!
14:45 you give me $500 and imma fix that amp in 5 hours straight. Looks like resistors frying but imma take a closer look to diagnose. Fucking shit that was violent!
on my community page I put a close up pic of the burned spot, but the thing smells so bad I tossed it outside in a shed , I paid like 180cad shipped for the thing on ebay
What speakers would you have kept? I actually kept 3 pairs of Sony and one pair of Pioneer from the micro system lot to play around with! Can see them at 15:14 when I take the smoke alarm off the ceiling 😛

@@aaskiee Yeah they were actually nice! bi-amp little mid woofer
i probably wouldve kept the red panasonics, from what I could hear they sounded pretty nice and I kinda liked the red lol
I wouldve kept the Panasonic sa-ak520 stuff
14:44 YOO YOU GOT THE YELLOW SONY BOOMBOX THAT YOU HAD DESTROYED LIKE A DECADE AGO 😭
Crazy to see you’re still active on this site, I remember watching your demolition videos as a kid years ago. Sentra Sunday was a classic! Keep on going

R.I.P. Peavy amplifier, you will be missed 😞

The stupid speaker bypassed the protection by burning it off 👌 RIP Peavy you haved some good burn out speakers
Actually incredible it survived that long

TheJVCguy is gonna be the big sad seeing that GT80 being destroyed. They put up a good fight tho lol
the bass on those red Panasonic speakers is clean af
yup, i still have entire system but in blue color, it plays decently 😃
They’re super ugly, but pretty decent sounding speakers, I would’ve kept those for a shop or garage system
Wow, I really enjoyed that. It must have felt amazing to destroy that many speakers 😀 Thank you Garrett.
19:18 man that must be deafening if those tweeters are blowing with the crossovers still connected lmao
Even the amp gave everything for this special occasion. Congratulations on 100K, you've definitely earned it!
1:14:55 I think that is probably the most hilarious sound I've ever heard out of any speaker LMAO
Dude, honestly props to recording that amp burning itself down. I mostlikely woulda put the camera down in panic!
19:44 no one talking about how that speaker landed, taht was smooth af
Ah, the little details that go unnoticed.
Yeah looked epic when it just standed up

I haven't seen it in your videos in YEARS. I have always wondered what happened to it, whether you blew it up or just sold it or something.
hey hey thanks! Haha the CS-800 is still here, but was also fried! It failed in an area that did not put on any show but was rather a vital part :P
The destruction of the JVC GIGATUBE GT80 speakers made me abit sad lmao...big fan of those old stereo systems
Use it.
I am too
Hell yeah I can’t wait to see this!!
Ayy i had those aiwas at 19:51 haha
Anddd there go the long awaited Jvc gigatube lol, gonna have to finish this later I gotta work

The normal looking jvc's, the First gigatube spekers and the philips woox are the ones i wouldve kept.

Bro I always wanted to have a JVC GT90 and you destroy it in such a cruel way, good video
Dude this video was insane! Smoke, sparks, fire, destruction! 😁 Huge congrats on the 100K milestone. That Hannah Montana guitar is proving to be indestructible!!
The myth the man the legend Congratulations on the 100K subscribers much love from The Netherlands.
15:00 breaking news: a guy in Canada named Garret Claridge, caught 4k of his apmlifier smelling on fire.
I forgot he was Canadistanian.
Those words just handed me a stroke and said "thank you for your time". 💀
The king of the speakers blowouts is back !!! ❤😎
Congratulations on your achievement!!! 100K!!! You deserve it bro!
That amp blowout was crazy! I felt the panic through the screen on that one!
Another Garrett Claridge gem! Love the awesome videos, hope to see more in the future! :D
I got a JVC sound system that came with 450w speakers, they ain’t bad for being 22 years old
your guitar is invincible
I am so glad this came up on my recommendation! Them JVC speakers were interesting😂😂
some day i wish to collect a bunch of microsystem speakers, but instead of destroying them, i daisychain a bunch of amps together to make a mega-microsystem.
Those Peavey amps love to blow up… seen it so so many times!!

Now THIS is what I call a speaker smash party!!! 🎉
congratulations on 100k subs!
well now you got a use for that big carbon filter🤣💨
20:20 ,egg-cellent idea 🥚🍳
It's crazy how cheaply they make the speaker cones and surrounds. And then manage to sell that system for thousands of dollars.

There are those who create with greatness, and those who destroy with greatness.
Sticky,slimey,subwoofers
