Just to anyone who doesn't realize the ramifications of This research work they will be able to use electrical differentiation patterns to grow complex biological structures and create biological microchips that can be wirelessly grown inside of everyone with or without your consent... this is very important... matter of fact this is so important it is being belittled and the fact that Kurt gets to talk to Michael Levin here is amazing... It's exactly like our society. If we are disconnected in family, friends and ourselves, we get sick. It's amazing how our cells are basically just as connected to each other as we are to each other as humans. As above so below.

michael levin is my very favorite scientist/philosopher and i feel he is doing some of the most important work in biology ❤
More than just biology ! In my opinion he is also extremely adept at elucidating complex science in layman's terms potentiating the capabilities of the general populus to more so efficaciously understand & repletely grasp the topic/s currently being discussed & defined. Not many people possess this ability, to such a degree.
You should look up Bruce Lipton. He's a stem cell biologist. I feel Bruce has gone beyond Michael Levin and he did so decades ago.
Michael Levin will win a Nobel prize in the future I think. What he said about cancer cells getting back in line by injecting an ion channel in a cell to force it to stay electrically connected in a network to neighbouring cells (and therefore doesn't depolarise) is mindblowing. The hardware problem (genetic mutation) is overrided by the software (electrical communication between cells). There must be a cure for cancer in there somewhere.
FIY: The Nobel Prize for lobotomy is still not revoked. We should have stopped valuing Nobel Prize as a serious thing decades ago.
Ion Channel? That’s like the discovery of the God Particle. Levin is nowhere near the ‘multi layered software’ that will magically straighten up the incorrigible cell.

What he is describing is literally what our indigenous healers have been saying for years. And while we may not be computers per-se, our entire organic matter is composed in a way that we are a literal data bank, battery and electro magnetic field tied to together. We inhabit some of the most sophisticated technology in the universe. Science is just now catching up to what our ancestors knew and the ancient civilizations that were far more advanced than us were living.
I saw a discussion with Michael Levin and Donald Hoffman and they were awesome. It was a profound discussion I would love to see them again maybe here on your channel together Curt 💗

Excellent work you are doing!! Interestingly enough, I built a galvanometer around 1967 or so, with a Radio Shack 200 in One electronics kit.... had read a book about plant awareness, where plants will react when someone who has "murdered" a plant in their presence enters the room..... I know, sounds crazy, I damaged one of the leaves a little and had profound readings on the galvanometer.... I was stunned. Forget the name of the book I had read, but it was an interesting read for sure. Please carry on, you will receive the Nobel Prize in time. There is no doubt in my mind.
Micheal Levin is definitely on to something and I know his research will unlock untold amounts of new discoveries one day.

No. I talked to him a couple of times, - he absolutely doesn't see consciousness, the first-person experience as a problem at all. I more and more tend to think that some people just don't have something important in their mental framework to grasp themselves as an object of exploration. Michael Levin doesn't have it, Bret Weinstein doesn't have it. Me, Curt, and Roger Penrose - we have it. It's something ontological that is different in different people.

Woah that last bit was really interesting. The partial wiping of metadata which obfuscates any distinction of self. It opens a few new ways to think about it I hadnt considered
I noticed this back in 2008 and tried to tell my boss. I was working in genetics. Just blank stares. I quit the field. Modern science is such a low IQ culture. They are genuinely the last people to figure anything out.
That seems unlikely, due to the amount of concentration and competence necessary to learn the basics of most scientific fields. What's more likely is that academia selects for intelligent conformists. It's people who are capable of learning rapidly due to good executive function skills, but lack the ability to integrate novel ideas or stand up to their peers. Conformity has been extremely damaging to innovation.

So hold on, stress, which is basically negative emotions in general caused by something in one's life, causes cancer by unconsciously disconnecting cells from each other. Then maybe the cure, or connecting the cells back to the collective, for this specific cancer is positive emotions towards the thing that caused the negative emotions, which then created this cancer?
For example, a cancerous growth caused by one's intense hatred of something could be cured through, say, forgiveness, acceptance and love. A somewhat metaphysical approach, but maybe worth a try when confronted with the issue :).
Scientists have noted that there is no cancer nor heart disease in the monks of Mount Athos. No stress, healthy living from the earth, the faculty of their hearts (the eye of the soul) focused on unconditional love and mercy.
Idk it sounds great but no matter how many positive thoughts and emotions you focus twards the cancer we still die one way or the other. I recently heard Olivia Newton John say she was practicing love twards her cancer and it killed her anyway so idk.

Michael brings a brilliant perspective and insights to improved understanding of biological information processing technology. The benefits this thinking could bring to the cure of many biological hardware and software faults in humans are potentially enormous.
Problem is, they got us stuck in "electro-static" bodies(oras) instead of "electro-dynamic" ,as we're meant to be. We're not earthing out properly, gotta get grounded, literally..walk barefoot on grass and as much quartz rich dirt, rock, gravell, sand as possible..

This has major implications for hyper individualism when it comes to culture.
Cancer is just a fungal infection that's gone out of control. There are various ways to cure it, and they all have this in common: the medicines used have anti-fungal properties. There was also an Italian surgeon who had actually seen many cases of cancer and he wrote a book called simply "cancer is a fungus". He treated it with localized administrations of baking soda solutions.

The scale is as big as the trillion light year multiverse. Messing with it is beyond caution.
In other words the scale at which Levin is hovering is very constricted with no value for any real Potential Difference
I decline to comment on most here, but at the start about "Voltage" has a good analogue particularly in DC electronics. Think of "Voltage" as Pressure in a water system, and current as water flow.
And resistance as restrictions to the water flow !
I think Levin is talking about it in a slightly different way, as in why a battery is needed, which is to provide a voltage difference to the ground which is where the energy flows from.

The cancer analogy applied to the self....So self awareness is potentially triggered by a loss of communication to a more primary state of unitary consciousness, therefore creating a false identity, namely the ego. This would explain why individuals experiencing higher states of awareness often feel they are becoming one with the universe. Self awareness then, like the amoeba, continues to proliferate due to it's isolation from a greater logos....Interesting topic.
Then the topic of free will should also play into this...from the cancer cells perspective 🤔 Oh dear.🤯

I find this entire sequence re-volting. Sorry in advance for that. Actually I read the book The Body Electric many many yrs ago. It got slammed by the power companies because it drew correlations between certain diseases and proximity to high power lines. Fascinating book.

Pioneered the idea of electrical flows. But because he eventually connected it with orgasm, the healthy release of biological energy, his books were burned and he died in jail.
Reich's work truly is fascinating...and not necessarily in a "sexy" sort of way, orgone/ki/chi....
@timbeck6726 it was imho the connection to sexuality at all which was the issue. He was from Europe and liberal and he ran into the puritan psyche of America.
As well as making the uap radiation connection in his later work.

Interesting. I can think of two reference at the moment, a famous mediatic one, the movie Lucy, and a far more lesser known concept, although popularly skewed concept of Auto-suggestion.
Both coming down to the idea of 'controlling a greater goal in the self of cells'

Becker, MD, in his 1985 book The Body Electric, Electromagnetism and the Foundation of Life, described his research into effects of weak electrical currents on living tissue, including regeneration effects. This innovative research was cut short when Becker lost his funding. It is one more story about how innovation is stifled by scientific bureaucracy.
In a class I taught years ago I had students eat a candy. In a short period of time the glucose in it is broken down and some of the carbon atoms are expelled in respiration into the room where they may be inhaled by other students. In this way elements of the candies are “shared” by everyone and the idea of an environment external to self, a boundary between self and the atoms that constitute self is questioned.
Called frequency, we are surrounded by frequency, we are antenna, our bodies are wifi...

What are your thoughts on practical solutions to increasing cellular polarity? Grounding, taking electrolytes, time in nature, time away from electronics, periods of time without stimulation? Would love your thoughts.
There is a deeper why question here as well wrt the why not cancer question…although from an engineering poerspective this frame is just right. Another answer lies in the why of creativity and complexification of the universe….

This shouldn't be perplexing if first we make an allowance. That this distribution of voltages, of charge a fundamental, is the raw material for that which we experience as sensation. Logically, and relativistically and therefore scientifically, the experiencer of sensation, having the quale of "I"-ness, an unfluctuating continuity: has to be independent to remain unfluctuating as to it sense of its own personal identity. Self, our personal identity, as a knower and director? Posit self's direction is in large part subliminal to us.
And then ask yourself, who spoke with absolute authority saying to feel? Self has to be fundamental, and no, we can't make sense of that or charge. Acausal complementarity terms a paradox and uncertainty refers to a stochastic rule for objective randomness. And yet the interpreter of those voltages is predicate for life since inception.
11:58 so about the kid that has dark glasses; would be be more appropriate to say that the child is “blind/deaf/mute/etc” that that by Taylor if specific kinds of electric signals we can act as a walker stick for the blind, a hearing aid for the deaf, sign language for the mute, and do on?
