- Recorded from Prime Television in Australia in late 1996. Incomplete due to the broadcaster cutting to make time for ad breaks. Uploading due to this episode apparently being unavailable elsewhere.
Please Note:
1. The 6 Lamb Chop's Play-Along episodes on my channel are the ONLY episodes from this show that I have. These were recorded by my parents for me when I was five and somehow the tape survived endless re-watching, tape re-use and house moves.
2. I don't have complete versions of the episodes and, in all likelihood, the show was only ever broadcast in this edited format in Australia. As far as I can tell/remember, this show was only ever broadcast by a local commercial station Channel Seven (and its regional affiliates, including Prime Television - now Prime7) in a half-hour timeslot. Which required cuts to allow ad breaks to be inserted. The only things I've removed from the episodes are the local commercials which, granted, are interesting and nostalgic in their own right, but not relevant.
3. A LOT of this show is currently lost media. If you think you might have episodes, even if incomplete, don't do what I did and assume someone else must have uploaded a complete copy because my episodes were sitting on DVDs for years until I realised nothing from these episodes was publicly available. I've been singing The Song That Doesn't End since 1992, and I've continued singing it forever, just because -
As a kid this was my show along with wishbone and Mister Rogers neighborhood. Basically all the PBS line up. Those were the days.
i told my boyfriend about this show when i watched it around 2008 before elementary school on PBS kids. watching it again is so comforting and fun, lamb chop is so precious! i didn’t even know the show was made way earlier, but it makes sense that it’s kind of lost media. thanks for uploading this :))
The wiki says it stopped airing after 1998, but just like you, I remember watching it in the early 2000s!

Sadly yes she had passed at 65 (1933 to 1998) from her illness.
I work at Petco, and one of our most popular dog toys in Lambchop in several different sizes, there's even a cat toy version. It hurts to know that one of the only things left of Shari Lewis's legacy is for her creation to be used as a dog toy to be torn to shreds. She did so much charity work and was a wonderful human being, but no one knows who she is anymore besides a select few people who remember watching her show or performances. I know it's a little dumb to be irritated about that, it's just a dog toy but if you ask the general public the vast majority will only know lambchop as a chewtoy and not a puppet from a beloved children's show.
I just went there the other day to pick up more toys for my neighbors dog! And I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the lamb chop stuffies! It brought back my childhood memories and so I had to go down the rabbit hole on UA-cam lol. I do agree with you that I wish more people knew about Sheri Lewis and her work and not just as a chew toy.
Even I loved this when I was small. Growing up in the UK, I always enjoyed these North American Children’s Shows as a youngster.
Shari was amazing and incredibly creative, I hope she knows how many of us loved her.

I used to tune into Sky as well for this. The Fun Factory was also one of my favourites.
