Random observation... Glinda the Good Witch travels in a bubble in The Wizard of Oz (1939).
Great video... I'm fascinated by witches and fairies (especially those in Macbeth, the Oz franchise, Greek mythology, Midsummer Night's Dream, and the biblical "Witch of Endor") as voices for nature, or fate itself.

I thought about mentioning Oz! Its been a mission of mine to find some evidence Plath saw the film as there are some strong resemblances of it in her poems. She was bang on the right place and age when it came out in '39 and back in the US in time for the TV premiere in the 50's. But no mention of it as far as I can tell. Some of my former podcast guests who have access to her archived childhood journal have even had a look for me there - no dice.
So I'm glad you thought of Oz and thank you!

Awesome! I just stumbled across your video, and I, like you, love anything about Shakespeare or Plath. I'm American and I hope you'll have a zoom option for your next book club. Do you have a website or something where I can get an email if it's possible?
