    Your video is terrific! It's obvious you spent a lot of time and attention to detail in making your video as you do with your table saw guide. You're clearly a fan of countersinking your screw holes. It was epic in that you also did that on the washers. I'm looking forward to building this guide using your approach as inspiration.

    Great build and really great video editing! I’m not fond of videos that show everything in real time, start to finish, and include non-stop rambling about every thought that goes through their heads. You, on the other hand, created a perfect video!! Step by step, materials cut, graphics for assembly clarity and a very pleasant job of narration in voice over. Outstanding! I subscribed and I hit the bell. I look forward to following your projects.

    Very nice product and well made instructional video. I only note that like alot of these fences it seems to me they all need a guide rail on the opposite side of the table to the lock as well as the lock side. They always look like there is too much of possibility of the fence being pushed out of square if it doesn't have one. If anyone cares to let me know what they think I'm happy to hear it as I'm a steel worker and new to wood so i may be trying to over engineer it as usual.

    I've been mulling over building a new fence for my 70 year old saw, every design I've created or found online has been super complicated. Then I found this video and am amazed at how over engineered other designs are for a basic rip fence. Going to build on this idea, adding a strip of measuring tape and pointer, and a taller front fence face for clamping etc. But mechanically I think I will follow this damn near to the letter

  • @spudpud-T67
    @spudpud-T67 7 років тому

    Excellent explanation. I wonder if you could make this with the ability for a micro adjustment to set the blade truly parallel to the fence. Perhaps adjustable (not glued at 2:19) 45 degree strip under the fence.

    4:20 Is it more accurate if you make set fence parallel to the miter slots?
    Why? Because the miter slots are longer than the blade diameter.
    Of course also make the blade parallel to the miter slots.

    Awesome tablesaw fence. Simple to build and yet fully functional. I built one for myself and it turned out perfect. Slides effortlessly and is square to the table and parallel to the blade and miter slots.
    Kudos to you for such an innovative design. Liked and subscribed!
    By the way, in my humble opinion your table saw fence design is far superior to " John Heisz" design.
    Great job!!
