wow such a good reminder of why she's my idol since almost 4 years now... This gig was awesome all the way through. She's got the voice, the kindness, the love for music, is beautiful and i'll just forever love her. such an inspiring women xxxx
I'm so glad it was real heartbeats who knew all her songs and all the lyrics that got to spend her birthday with her rather than people who just along for nothing
Thanks for uploading, I really wish I could've gone, I was born in the wrong country though. It's amazing how she keeps improving vocally and performance wise. I really hope she gets more recognition worldwide, she is someone that should be in the spotlight because she is so positive, and tries to inspire/help people with her songs, rather than sing about superficial crap like many singers do!
Thank u for getting as much as u did! I'd rather hear exactly what she said than hear 3rd party what she said so thanks for getting IT all! In rockwood no one dared sing along as we felt really honored to just have her there and hear her sing -so I was glad she asked them to be quiet but sadly they still sung along-annoying. I appreciate Jesies HONESTY I think if she goes about living her life and let them take pictures or whatever they'll eventually stop bothering her I would assume but regardless she has to just live & let people make their own conclusions. I enjoy her so I hope she hangs in and keeps being HONEST &writing songs-I've always preferred her in small gigs like this HOPE she continues doing them.
Thank you so much for uploading this Sarah! It makes me feel like I was there, even being so far! I appreciate you very much for sharing it, again, THANK YOU! ♥
Thanks for upload but this is so hard for me to watch... So gutted you can not understand I could not be there. If only she announced it the day before or something arrrggghhh... The PERFECT gig for me to be at! :(
I've been a heartbeat since, literrally, day one so i know how amazing she is, as an artist but as a human being too... That's why i want her to be happy, howeverrr, when i read that tweet that she wrote saying that bisexuality was a phase in her life, i was profundly disappointed, because she just broke what thousands are trying to build everyday...! I can dissociate the artist from the human being, and i know that it won't change anything in my passion for her music, but i just can't admire her as much since that, i guess that we all make mistakes, but some of them can easily be fixed by a second tweet saying that she didn't express herself in the right terms.. But that didn't happen... don't get me wrong, she has an amazing voice, and she's a fucking inspiring lady, but she fought so hard for that kind of equality, that seeing her sort of back off made me insanly sad...
I totally get your comment. Are you familiar with her song Nobody's Perfect ? Well in the beginning of that song she says "when I'm nervous, I have this thing were I talk to much sometimes I just can't shut the hell up it's like I need to tell someone anyone that'll listen and that's where I seem to fuck up". And idk that just reminds me of when she sent that tweet, she made a mistake and nobody's perfect. I get what you mean though she shouldn't have said that but I still love her because nobody's perfect! :)
I think Phat Cat hit it right on, and while I get your reaction to the tweet I'm saddened that you view it as a 'mistake.' What makes Jessie one of the most awesome artists out there is her impressively consistent adherence to expressing what she feels when she's feeling it. As such I feel that her tweet expressed very clearly how she feels about her sexuality and it wasn't tampered or worded to be politically correct, or to be so vague as to avoid pissing anyone off. Furthermore, I in no way feel that her tweet undid any of her work towards equality. From all of the interviews that I have watched, I'm getting the feeling that Jessie was feeling that by defending people of different sexualities she was getting boxed in and that people were basically projecting their feelings and perspectives into her - essentially making her an avatar for the lgtb cause - when in fact she viewed her sexuality and feelings in a different way (in this case more temporary, and a much lesser deal for her). But just because she no longer feels like that rocker, purple-haired lesbian chick doesn't mean that her statements or beliefs about lgbt equality are any less honest or true. Anyway, I just wanted to give my 2cents. Ps, I love her narrative through this; very, and I mean Very few artists are as (both) mature/aware/exposed/mainstream AND as down-to-earth as she is...I wish I had the chance to be at this concert :)
She felt that way only for one person.....ergo, ended being a phase in her life. Ya'll need to stop putting people in boxes and blaming them if they don't feel that way.
no hate to you or any homosexual out there, but why do you guys feel so offended if someone decides that being gay/lesbian/bisexual was a phase? Or like she is dissing the gay community? Just cause it was for her doesn't mean what you feel is negated or not real. She is not you, you are not her. She has a right to change what she feels and when she feels it. You don't see straight people getting upset when their favorite person comes out as gay saying "well I just lost hope s/he was such a strong figure in the straight community and now I feel like im not sure if I'm actually straight because someone who I don't know and who doesn't know me doesn't feel the same as they used to claim they did" Like honestly be your own person. I don't agree with the gay lifestyle but if you are going to go that direction, OWN IT! Don't let anyone dictate your life, cause you know what you're the only one who has to live it. I may not agree with it, but there are plenty of people who do. You can still be straight and fight for equality among homosexuals. People do it everyday. And news flash for a lot of girls between like probs 12-18 they go through a phase where they like girls. My friend once did in Middle school, and here we are in college and she's had like 5 boyfriends since then. lol it's just something us girls do (not including me) but if it's not a phase for you and every other gay person out there don't let what a celebrity says make what you think feel fake, if you will. That's something only, and you alone can figure out. so yea that's all I had to say. Sorry for commenting so late!!!!

I agree with you to a point however for HER, it might have just been a phase. For others its a way of life. People change.
