Must not overlook the trip to the fair, one of the last of the great MST shorts
"The man who stole that formula is a double agent!" No, a double agent is one who works for both sides. Ian McShane's character isn't a double agent, he's an imposter, and as a spymaster, Aunt Mary would certainly know the difference.
I had this exact thought lmao
Who is aunt Mary??
@@surf101- Aunt Mary is the code name of Diamondhead's boss.
"Friends call me Diamond Head...oh!" (54:47) For some reason, I love this type of riff, when they portray a character just carelessly blurting out something that's supposed to be a secret. I don't know why; it's an incredibly simple, obvious gag, but it's got some kind of direct connection to my funny bone.
I was trying to remember where I saw the scientist in the movie was from, then it hit me: He was in Star Trek 4, he was the company manager Scotty gave the transparent aluminum formula to!
Excellent find! "The *keyboard*...how *quaint*!"
Mike Stoklasa, is that you?
A lot of stuff went down at that pier on Magnum.
He's also the encyclopedia salesman in 'On Guard, Bunco'
@@chuckliquor3663 Hahaha, I think I could give him a run for his money with useless Star Trek trivia!
Oh wow, Comedy Central era? This tape is an a most ancient relic.
I am old.
The upload is 12 years old.
12 years before that, new episodes were still premiering on Sci-Fi.
(Shoutout to anyone finding this comment once it, too, becomes 12+ years old.)
"We need to find this man fast."
"THERE HE IS!"
This episode of MST3K brought to you by RadioShack.
And men's slacks
That guy’s a sinner.. they’re all sinners
I used to own a whole tape of their shorts. I love this series and Rifftrax
"It's the girl corps! 100 magnificently trained girls!"
corps*
@@UnitSe7en d'oh, you're right. Fixed it!
If you wanted to make sure your pilot never went to series, you had Roy Thinnes star in it.
Now now, The Invaders lasted for a year or so
For some reason, the "Hello der!" At 47:00 killed me.
The priest will go on to play Al Swearengen on Deadwood.
38:15 This riff kills me every time because it’s so true!
😂 good one
I know a thing or two about a thing or two; I'll tell you that right now.
I didn't know Al Swearengen was a Priest in a future life.
Absolute Top-10 episode, the high point of 70s' TV schlock -- Don Knight (where's my $50), Eric Braeden (that guy),, the smoking hot France Nuyen and of course Lovejoy! Director Jeannot Szwarc ably deals out the slick visual cliches of that era as the great Sutton Roley must have turned this dog down
Yeah this a classic!
Oh shit! Ian McShane! Awesome!
Kinda liked this one-ironically gentle climactic moments, attractive cast, questions raised about espionage…
Ian McShane is way too overqualified for this bomb. I always liked Lovejoy but was surprised it was popular enough for 30 or 40 riffs here
“Later these moths turn up in the mouths of Bobs victims!” 😂😂😂
What was that guy in? 🤣
Rat Patrol -- in color! Also several 5-0s
@@knownfact4905 And "The Young and the Restless."
Aunt Mary lol
Fun Fact: Aunt Mary is played by the same guy as the crew-cut "Drill Sergeant Curator" in Terror From the Year 5000
Ah, time for another classic MST3K episode-OHMYGOD, IS THAT IAN MCSHANE?!?
Swedgin!
The Hawaiian undercover guy's real name listed on 60's Hawaii 50 was Zulu, sans no afro😅
Diamond Head versus Sam Casey. Who wins?
Sam, he's at least got charm and wits for any situation, this Head guy just... kinda sucks, he has all the onscreen presence of a lucid JC from _Sidehackers_ but none of the screaming or bipolarity. Hell, even Adam Chance could reliably MURDER people, that's helpful.
The viewer wins, that's who. We get to see the wonkiest spy fight ever.
No pilikia is no problem in Hawaiian language. That will be 10 whompem bucks. Lol.
They had such crappy locations because 5-0 was still busy filming at all the good spots
90s nostalgia is the best
I am also grateful I do not have a Crash Test Dummy for a roommate. Or Dennis Weaver, for that matter
"working for the same outfit that nailed you in Bangkok"
dont start
I know that Diamond Head is an Oahu landmark, but “Code Name: Gibbon Head” would have been a better title. Maybe it would have had to have been a porno movie then…
1:00:14 A freelance international spy/assassin sneaks up on an informant to subdue him and drag him off to a warehouse using... *a two-by-four.* At least _Agent from HARM_ tried to spice things up by electrocuting a guy (albeit in a very boring manner involving TV repair).
More fros than a globetrotter reunion!
Code Name: 5-0 Ripoff! Not just Kono but also the guy who played Che Fong (They even ripped off the Cloth of Gold poison thing from a 5-0 ep). Don Knight, Eric Braeden, France Nuyen and the silver haired Navy guy all were on 5-0 multiple times, I was expecting Wo Fat to show up as well
Swearegen, In life you have to do a lot of things you don’t f**king want to do. Many times, that’s what the f**k life is… one vile f**king task after another.
wagon queen family truckster
1:00:23 Stinger Alert
The delivery of "Go get help!" right after that is just as funny. Sadly it would have made the stinger too long.
PINGGG
first
You must be lonely! Who cares if you're first? Only YOU!
HEY, GET A LIFE FOR CHRISTMAS
Holy crap Ian McShane is in this?!
Naaah, you're thinkin' of Lovejoy... or that guy from that one thing, what was it
