Yeah, if I had my way, I'd dispose of dead compies using a single ranger armed with a plastic bag, but instead, any time one dies, I break out T H E C H O P P E R S
The fact that they can’t kill humans makes me wish they didn’t cause them to panic either. So you could easily have free roaming Compies. Same for Homalo.
Kaiju Slayer333 I don’t know. Maybe they’re illiterate or just didn’t have time to read it. Maybe people just don’t feel like reading. It makes sense considering it’s a dinosaur zoo and you wanna see the dinosaurs in flesh.
Imagine if the compy could attack humans. It approaches the human, who in panic kicks the compy in the head. And bam, instead of a dead human you have a dead compy
I've been doing a little experiment with T-Rex and Velociraptor, it turns out they don't fight but only for a bit but the T-Rex just killed it with one bite.
Yeah, im the ps4 version i can keep big carnivores with small carnivores as long as there's loads of space and extra feeding stations and water. Otherwise your small carnivores remain in constant panic mode and will just want to break out
@maximaldinotrap I was expecting a T-Rex to at least take some damage, from a raptor pouncing onto its back and clawing into its side. Otherwise, it comes off as merely a glorified normal hunting animation, in the words of Ryaquaza 1, and makes the raptors seems more helpless than the other small carnivores which T-Rex won’t prey on.
Single compy taking down a goat looks daft? And a pygmy dilophosaurus taking down an edmontosaurus (a hadrosaur comparable in size to t-rex) by itself doesnt?, ok frontier. Also can they hunt homalocephale?.... nvmd
@@ano3kk in this game it isnt 20 ft, it more like 10ft long and even if the dilo wasnt undersized, it would not be able to kill a 40ft long bulky hadrosaur that weighed more than a t-rex. That's like a fox trying to kill a deer, or a tiger killing an elephant. It would get crushed instantly or destroyed by the tail. T-rex would have had trouble killing an edmontosaurus, nevermind something a 2 thirds smaller than it. There is no way a dilophosaurus would risk killing such a large animal, especially given how lightly built it was and that its teeth would not be capable of anything more than ankle biting.
I still find it weird compys basically act like homalocephale that eat from carnivore feeders in this game, yes I know they are small but still The small carnivore killing animation does give me monitor lizard feeding vibes tho so there’s that
I was really hoping large carnivores would go after him because i wanted to put a carno after him like in the ps1 lost world game where you play as the compy in the beginning
I'd love to see an interaction with the stego, like the compies try and nip at it and it gets annoyed and swings its tail at it. Then the compy simply leaps over the stego's tail, does some shrill call and kindly buggers off.
Last night I was building a park, and I decided to put about 45 Compys in one of my herbivore exhibits lol. They are stupidly small, but it is cool to see them running around every now and again. It makes things feel more natural.
This is one of the dinos that could use the pack hunting mechanic (if the devs ever put that in) and I also think it would be cool if they can kill the homelacephale and like maybe cut the wire at the bottom of the fences to get out And if they used the pack hunting then they could kill humans and maybe even struthiomimids but that's a big maybe
1. Compys were design to eat dinosaur poop as a clean up crew in the book 2. Herbivorous reptiles and dinosaurs are known to eat some smaller reptiles for bonus proteins ( for some of the lizard bones found in the stomach of fossils) My only question is it safe to have them around herbivores
If they made it so there was a chance that compys could kill a sauropod, than that would be a cool reference to zoo tycoon where there was a chance that a penguin could eat a giraffe.
I love compies, I hope we can actually be able to make dinosaurs come back just because I want a pet compy, imagine having one on your shoulder and being able to feed it bits of your steak or hamburgers
A homalocephalae socializing with a compy? That's a bit weird but not as weird as a raptor socializing with a goat which I've seen at least twice... :P
While i do can see, that it would make not much sense for someone like a rex to actively hunt a compy, i do think it would be fun to add some "interaction" by the compy being at the risk of getting trampled, if arround large dinosaurs.
i wish they'd add another DLC where you can walk around your park as a human, then witness all your park go to hell when raptors break loose, tyrano's rampaging and a trike yeeting every person. Also i wish they'd add a feature where you can hide inside the establishments, like an outhouse, like the one in the movies.
JP compies are cool... but does anyone want to see what a real Compsognathus longipes may have looked like? We'll be releasing our latest model soon ;)
The transportation sequence for these guys must be hilarious.
"We've gotta move a twig of a reptile the size of my foot. Get the choppers out!"
Jacob Wheeler lol
They should have drones that come pick them up!
Jacob Wheeler I can confirm, it is very funny indeed

Kaiju Slayer333
Hoping you can have free roaming Microceratus if it gets added.
yep, them running from homalo is really dumb.
LordOfThe Flightless Well if it’s the guests it would make sense considering they wouldn’t necessarily know if the dinosaur is aggressive or not
Sacha Grégoire You’re telling me the park booklet or something like that wouldn’t say how they’re not dangerous?
Kaiju Slayer333 I don’t know. Maybe they’re illiterate or just didn’t have time to read it. Maybe people just don’t feel like reading. It makes sense considering it’s a dinosaur zoo and you wanna see the dinosaurs in flesh.

Or compys would eat the corpses people that were killed by other dinosaurs
Then the swarm is alerted
Compys are strong and venomous they wouldn’t go out easy
You don't remember the compys killing a full grown man and eating the little girl for her sandwich? If i remember he tazes them and it passes them off
Tip: use the dirt brush in your compy exhibits, it gets rid of the grass while still maintaining a sort of natural feel
I really like all the bright skins, it seems like something they would actually have for self defense, like poison dart frogs
Game could defo use a pack hunting mechanic

Great.
Shit. *snort*
Agreed
Johnny Griggs yeah but only for a few species like comply velociraptor and herbivores should defend ace other in a Pack
Homolocephale: ok so, we are the smallest beings in this island--

They're so little
Compsognathus: hey hey! Watch it!

It sounds like Gwangi’s roar whenever the dinosaur gets hurt in “The Valley of Gwangi”, especially near the end with the burning cathedral.

Rex could swallow these poor bastards whole.
I love how the rexes breaks the tail of the raptors before doing the iconic shake and yeeting the raptors JP style.

If you listen when the compies were fighting you can hear the little barking sound from the lost world ps1 game
I like seeing the giant gates open for a tiny Compsognathus to run out.
Despite their scary vicious hunting method in The Lost World, I find them so adorable in this game. :)
If these little guys existed in the modern world, they'd be like little scaly dogs. I'd definitely adopt one...
Just one, though. I'm not stupid.
First thing that came to mind watching compy hop off the feeder with its tiny morsel:
'That's odd where'd this little guy find a mini baby bell?'
I'd love to see an interaction with the stego, like the compies try and nip at it and it gets annoyed and swings its tail at it. Then the compy simply leaps over the stego's tail, does some shrill call and kindly buggers off.
They can be good coelophysis if you want, although you can use troodons if compies are too small.

Say that to the costa rican woman who lost her baby to these monsters!
As I have yet to see a single baby in this game, I foresee the probability of that occurring to be nil.

So we can get things like microceratus now with Dino’s this small ?

I guess they can't hunt herbivore too, compys most have been scavengers with that size unless they do hunt in packs
I think it should be a bit larger.
It should be closer to the size of the Troodon, but still slightly smaller and chirpier
It would be kinda cool if a compy got stomped on here and there if you put them in a exhibit with a large herbivore
That’s a smol boi
The tundra pattern looks like tooth paste lmao
I liked all of the skins. And a compy would be crushed by a sauropod in an actual fight which means it won't be in the game.
what if another dinosaur kill the goat and leaves the body and not eat the compy like spinosaurs will the comy eat the caucus like it did the meat ?
