- I was curious how would this game run on the Switch, since on mobile it's fairly unoptimized and demanding. Turns out it plays just fine. It seems to be permanently set to the lowest graphical settings compared to mobile, but that's ok. I would go as far as saying this is the best way to play it, however it is kind of overpriced on the Switch.
Compared to the other Farming Simulator game you can get on the Switch, this one is a lot more limited, being a port of a mobile phone game, instead of a PC game. However, sometimes that's just fine, I suppose. I would absolutely recommend to buy it only with a severe discount though!
As usual, the game and everything in it belongs to their rightful owners, I'm just recording for my own amusement.
How would you compare it to the first one on Switch in its current state? What’s missing from that one? Great video.👍🏻
The Switch Edition (the first one) is a complete port of Farming Simulator 17 (without the option to add mods), so it's a lot bigger in general: more maps, more activities, more crops, more fields, more npcs, etc. However, it's also significantly more complex, you need to manage more things at once, and learn the correct way to use each machine.
20 is a bit of a hybrid between 16 and 19, it features some of the automatization and simplification the older mobile ports had, but it also dropped a lot of it in order to play more similarly to the home console/PC versions. For example, you don't need to manually activate each different part of the combine, or attach weighs to tractors, that's automatic like in all the other mobile ports. But at the same time, you can't pay employees to drive your vehicles to certain places, collect produce from a full combine, or sell your produce, you need to do that yourself like in the PC/console versions.
There's also no missions like on the other mobile versions, or jobs from other farmers like in FS17, so the only way to earn money is selling produce, and outside of the drivers, there's no NPCs. Also, no forestry.
In the end, I'd say FS20 is more of a "brain on standby" activity, just let things happen until you're needed, while in FS17(Switch Edition) there's more you can and/or need to do yourself.

@@pinkster0078 of this style, only FS Switch Edition and FS20. But I have also played Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, and Story of Seasons.
@@MyGameplayVids Hi again, I’ve just seen this has had another update. Does it have missions or contracts, can I turn off the awful UI at the top of the screen?
@@pinkster0078 hm no, as far as I can tell, all the more recent updates have been only for general stability/bug fixing, and adding a new machine or two. The closest thing to missions are the occasional high demand notices.
If you have access to a mobile phone with Android or iOS, you can see the update history on those stores. The Switch version follows roughly the same update schedule.

Has this improved since launch??
Well, they’ve continually updated the game to fix things and add new machines, and at some point added a first person mode so you can exit the vehicles and walk around.
On the switch, it’s also the best, most stable version of the game. Though I still think it’s severely overpriced when compared to other systems.
@@MyGameplayVids Why they could just do FS19 I don’t know. I’m not having that the switch couldn’t run it when you’ve got games like The Witcher 3 running beautifully on it.
