The fact that you paid so much for that denim jacket is wild to me, they go for ~$10 here 💀 Thrift shops are supposed to be cheap since they run on donations anyways, but the issue has been some thrift shops significantly increasing their costs and pricing out low income people who need them which defeats the whole purpose of it being a THRIFT shop. That being said, $60 is definitely a steal for 3 outfits + labour haha, she did great!
That denim jacket was shocking, in the UK 🇬🇧 We would have paid about £5 - £10 British pounds 💷 but I usually donate money in the Charity Box if I don't seem to have bought 1/2 of the Shops things, haha 😂❤❤❤

I used to work at a second hand thrift shop and it all depended on what you bought. IE what brands, how good it was, if the cashier of sorting person actually knew about clothes or not. The store I worked at was St. Vincent DePaul, they barely made enough to keep the lights on, pay us and do stuff for the community. Yes they are picky and yes they upsell A LOT sometimes, it also depends on where they get it from. Like the stuff from Pottery Barn? They actually purchase that, I found out it's the stuff that they shoot with the ads and commercials. PB resells it because it's not sale worthy
lol 10$ would be considered expensive for thrifted denim jacket where I live. and yes it is a steal, bcuz theres no way 60$ could cover all the work the girl put in it... coming from someone who does smth similar

I can't afford buying any mystery boxes like these but wow, she really NAILED it with those pants and jeans, and that jacket is to die for. You can mix and match those clothes so much and get even more outfits by just adding another jacket and a few different colored tops. She gave you one heck of a great base! Color me impressed!

The whole idea behind a capsule wardrobe is that everything should pretty much go with everything. so the fact that you put on the pink jacket first, doesn't really matter. All the looks were very cute (except the skirt that wasn't quite right). This is what I LOVE about thrifting. I bring stuff home, and if I don't like it or decide it's not really me, it goes back in my "out-box" to go back to the thrift store. Also, most stuff has been washed. so you're not going to wash it and ruin it right away (which I have done with MANY new clothes). Awesome video! Please do more like this! ♥

In my opinion, you were robbed over the jacket. Charity shops (idk if 'thrift' is something different) rely on donated clothes and are supposed to be very affordable. Unfortunately many are no longer affordable because they want large profit margins and recognise charity shopping as a trend. It hurts the poorest in society the most if people agree to such extortionate prices because they're quickly priced out of the shops :(

This week I got 86 pcs for $86 plus tax and this is all vintage and expensive brands, even some Lululemon. Right now thrift stores in my area are overflowing with clothes and it's discounts galore. I even had some luck at Goodwill this week, $8.99 for Miss Me Jeans, I bought all 5 pairs. One time I found a pair of mint condition $900 ski pants for $1.

I do this for a living. Super easy to find amazing deals on true vintage as long as you know what you’re looking for!! Study up on how to find vintage before you dive into shopping is my best advice.

I used to work in a second hand shop aaannnddddd they DID raise their prices but not by much! it's abut 5 bucks for a shirt, 8 for jeans and it depends on the accessory. I sold a gently used vintage jeans jacket for about 25 on sale. it all depends on where you go and what your willing to spend! Also for the girl that made this for you... I'd say at least $100 if it's for three outfits. that's still a great deal in my eyes
If that jean jacket was that much then it wasn't a deal if it was from a thrift store! That would probably go for $15-20 at the most. It's cute though! But there are definitely places that say they're thrift stores and they are basically just overpriced used clothes boutiques. It's the places that look drab inside and out that have the treasures. Also, California thrift stores SUCK!! So I wonder if the whole West side of America is similar? I've found the best luck at thrift stores in the south. I don't know why! That's just how it is! It's literally treasure after treasure.

Thrifting depends on the area where you live. They vary from state to state and town to town. I find smaller non profit thrift stores tend to have much better deals than the bigger chain thrift stores.
My cousin Abby has a small business, and she does this for people. I actually have some of her Merch, and it's really, really cool. I think you guys should buy from her,
Ive been thriving most of my life, and I seem to have a knack for finding great deals. My family members often ask me to find things for them. I live in the Midwest where things are really cheap. Maybe I should start a business myself. I could find deals here where people in other areas couldn’t.

Thrift shops here have things at 2,3,5,6,and 10 bucks usually (that's clothes) shoes can be 5 to 60 bucks (my daughter got a brand new pair of over the knee leather boots valued at $360 for $60 back in April from the thrift shop around the corner from our house) depending on how new they are. Kids clothes start at 50 cents and jewelry can be as little as 20 cents to a couple of bucks unless it is something REALLY good then you might pay $20 or more depending on the item. When my kids were teens they did a lot of shopping at the two local thrift shops in our town and the three in the nearby larger town. I have seen some beautiful Deb and Wedding dresses for under $100 in those stores.
Ok. Now I want to thrift style you. I am a shopping fiend and my closets overfloweth, so I'd love to shop for someone else! I buy most everything secondhand. Big fan of the real real.

I used to work in a second hand shop aaannnddddd they DID raise their prices but not by much! it's abut 5 bucks for a shirt, 8 for jeans and it depends on the accessory. I sold a gently used vintage jeans jacket for about 25 on sale. it all depends on where you go and what your willing to spend! Also for the girl that made this for you... I'd say at least $100 if it's for three outfits. that's still a great deal in my eyes

If that jean jacket was that much then it wasn't a deal if it was from a thrift store! That would probably go for $15-20 at the most. It's cute though! But there are definitely places that say they're thrift stores and they are basically just overpriced used clothes boutiques. It's the places that look drab inside and out that have the treasures. Also, California thrift stores SUCK!! So I wonder if the whole West side of America is similar? I've found the best luck at thrift stores in the south. I don't know why! That's just how it is! It's literally treasure after treasure.

Thrifting depends on the area where you live. They vary from state to state and town to town. I find smaller non profit thrift stores tend to have much better deals than the bigger chain thrift stores.

Ive been thriving most of my life, and I seem to have a knack for finding great deals. My family members often ask me to find things for them. I live in the Midwest where things are really cheap. Maybe I should start a business myself. I could find deals here where people in other areas couldn’t.

Thrift shops here have things at 2,3,5,6,and 10 bucks usually (that's clothes) shoes can be 5 to 60 bucks (my daughter got a brand new pair of over the knee leather boots valued at $360 for $60 back in April from the thrift shop around the corner from our house) depending on how new they are. Kids clothes start at 50 cents and jewelry can be as little as 20 cents to a couple of bucks unless it is something REALLY good then you might pay $20 or more depending on the item.
When my kids were teens they did a lot of shopping at the two local thrift shops in our town and the three in the nearby larger town. I have seen some beautiful Deb and Wedding dresses for under $100 in those stores.
I Highly recommend black velvet pants. They feel like sweats or pjs but look really classy.
