Nothing like homemade cooking. It's fun to see that we have some identical items, used for slightly different purposes. Also nothing cleans like vinegar. With my ceramic skillet all I need to do is wipe clean, spray vinegar, wipe and dry. Done. No water, and no bad tasting dishwasher liquid used. 👍🏻😄🚐

I really like the veggie basket hack for raising the frying pan and the stove cover "plates" are AWESOME as in, they would work in the house, Walmart here I come! Have you thought about maybe hanging a basket from the hooks where your utensils and stuff is? Maybe a small metal bike basket or even a sturdy wire dish rack, a couple of those would give a lot of storage. I don't recall what your ceiling is made of but a few screw eyes would give the baskets added support. When I lived on the boat I used a couple of the mesh hammocks they sell or used to sell for children's toy storage above the galley and even above my bed, perhaps something like at would work as well

Just a thought for additional storage...up where you have all the things hanging (down from your paper towel holder), that seems like a great location for either some shelves or a smaller type cabinet. It'd be plenty high enough to not obstruct the foot of the bed, while giving you a fair amount more storage...

IreneV, to reduce chemicals in my life, I ditched the shampoo and use Kirk's Castile soap. It is pure, botanical coconut oil soap, and I buy it at Wal-Mart. I use it to shower and wash my hair and my hair feels no different than when I used the chemical laden shampoo. I don't even use conditioner anymore. (Henry is my husband's name.)

Brilliant!! Looks like you are a cooking natural. When you can teach a guy who has been traveling in a Van/RV a new trick you get my attention. I have traveled for 30 years 16 in my current rig that I will say is four star accommodations. You have a few tricks this old dog can use. But to add to your observation I don't skimp on food. I put on the table four star meals everyday from American fair to all the popular cuisines of the world and do it well. That is not easy on the go but I will say a must because a happy camper is a well fed camper.
When we talk about a simpler life, good food should be the beneficiary. I know too many travelers that eat crap and why live simpler and eat poorly when cooking food is not that hard. I am a carnivore as you are and while I prefer BBQ compare a good store steak with a restaurant steak?? That's why we eat burgers, the cost! I get a package of Sams Club two inch steaks and get 6 meals for my wife and I. We split a steak the left over is sliced thin and made into a french dip or a roast beef sandwich great with sliced avocado.
I have even made my own beef jerky!! Once the steak marinaded put on a rack between to sheets of aluminum foil perforated on top with small tooth pick holes out in the sun. this will last for a week if we can control are selves. Enjoying your Vids and when you get a break from your cooking drain the left front headlight I think that Van Jones guy is playing tricks on you. Just kidding noticed it when you two were in Utah! P.S. coming your way this year say hi if you see my rig! www.pinterest.com/pin/186406872051615353/ mine is the white black and red one.
