I love that you're posting regularly now, even when you get salty you're not nearly as bad as some people get and it's just fun overall watching your plays. I also feel like I tend to learn at least one new thing every time I watch a new vid of yours which I love, you're very good at teaching while making it all very easy to understand
@Mast A tip for Cerb if you Ult and then take 2 steps back and use the spit you can hit all targets that are lifted up and stun them and deal massive damage!
That invade strategy should be done in every game so hirez notices it's a problem and it can't be countered at all. Puts the jungler behind so much. That said, love your content. Keep it up.
it's just dumb because you don't even have to steal speed to be successful. it's great if you do steal it but wasting the jungle's time is pretty much guaranteed and sets them up to be behind for the rest of the early game. meanwhile you're solo and who cares if you miss a bit of farm you have a free 10 minutes in what's usually the least active lane to farm away
I feel you when you're just trying to have a casual game in casuals, why I always tell people to relax a bit and try to have funb ut I also see casual as a way to both try and learn new strats without taking a chance in ranked or not learning anything playing vs bots.
Such a small thing, but the fact that when you talked about how great Cerb's healing is on his 3 at 18:40, and then didn't attempt to heal on that huge minion wave well away from enemies a little over 1 minute later at 20:00 to show it off irked me to no end.
Parker Harris his minions spawned and started tanking them he could have done it then I aswell was irked when mast didn’t do it either because each minion was healing him about 135 so it’s possible he could have full healed off of them and it would have been very cool to see
Thanks for this! I love playing cerby and never thought to try him in jungle before this video. I went into a comp game with this and went 17-4. Was a fun game
i come from league of legends and invading is pretty much standard. ive been invading in smite for a couple years. i'm glad to see people finally caught on. when i play solo and guard speed camp by standing around fire people would ask me wtf i'm doing there "vision for invade" "wtf are you talking about" now they know
Lol before this strat was even a thing, me and my friends would do this invade tactic. We’d pick up solo, jungle, and either mid or carry and invade the entire enemy jungle before going back to our original responsibilities. It was a lot of fun and we managed to make a lot of people rage quit which me and my friends got a kick out of. However, we haven’t done since it has been in the meta which I guess would be early to mid season 5. So we’re not that cancerous anymore, but every once in a while I like to go over to the enemy speed to scare them. Especially when I play my not-so world famous, patten pending, Nemesis solo (btw would love to see a video from you on this. If you need a build I have a really really good one, at least for me). But I never really invade anymore.
On some gods its more worth to go full damage because that way you can kill people in just one cycle of your abilities rather than having to use multiple cycles to kill. Usually gods with really high cds are the ones you build max burst that way you can just go in and kill then back off and not worry too much about your cdr
Also the point behind the invade strategy is not at all to steal the buff. It's to put the enemy jungler behind by wasting their time while your own jungler does the norm route and gets ahead and is able to carry better. The only counter is if enemy solo laner does the same.
The thing with invading the buff is it’s supposed to waste a lot of the enemy jugglers time to get your jungler ahead. It’s not about stealing the buff
Love the vids, but was surprised by the reaction to invade at speed. I mean if I'm being honest it's no different than the ratatoskr level 1 blink that you posted a few months ago. Just saying it seems about the same.
If you do the invade start I camp and bm your lane/buffs no exceptions. Also never saw the “speed hack/lag” thing until crossplay came and it only ever happens on PC players so...
I was playing Kali with a troll Janus mid that didn't help me do buff. 3 people invaded speed, xp and blue buff and I got behind. Our support dc'ed, Janus was 0/7/0, adc didn't have a support so he couldn't do anything. I was 7/1/4 and solo was 4/3/3. We obviously lost and that is the story of the start of my hatred for invades.
Man i gotta say grab binding. As support with just binding and pen boots i will shred through enemies completely. Add void and magus to it and i flat out end ppl
I feel you on being salty about the invade start but honestly you doing that video on Ratatoskr level 1 gank on mid with full acorn is 20 times more cancerous
Mast showcase request: a bezerkers/hunters blessing on Chernobog in the solo lane. You want to build into trans and hammers for a bruiser build with snowball potential off of the ultimate. Bezerkers heal stacks off health and mana so you also achieve some nutty "pseudo lifesteal"
If u wanna see the vid against weaken go to weaken twitch 29 march yesterday its around 1:56:00 im not sure if mast has it on his twitch but thought its fun to see what weaken reaction is
Love u mast and yea that strat is dumb I just ignore and farm then crush them cuz they are under lvl. Ppl always try it on me doesn't work out for them.
Mast, I played mid in the end of S4. You should've seen the Cerb with health and lifesteal. Warlock's and Book of the Dead and the magical lifesteal duo (almost every item in the build was nerfed so the build isn't that strong anymore). Me and my friend (Artio jg) 2v4 in the mid without even being fed. We won the fight and I was full hp in the end. Fun times.
Please try a full lifesteal cerberus build like double j did, might not be the best int conquest and idk if your willing to play another mode on the channel but at least try it please.
That was server latency, I get that shit so constantly, it's annoying, even when you're escaping, cause it fills shitty, but what can one do, the servers have gone to shit since s6 came
Gonna have to disagree with the "It's casual so you are not allowed to try to win" mentality, even if that means using a cheese strategy or playing serious. Casuals are where you can test things in a low stress environment with no long term repercussions. This doesn't make the erlang a "dickhead". Nor does it make the game "not fun".
Except, it does. You're using logical fallacy by implying "you can't try to win" . That's not what ANYONE thinks. Acting "tryhard" isnt equal to trying to win, it's normally based on things like abusing exploits, glitches, or griefing . Constantly trying to invade like that in casual is similar to constantly death balling early game in casual as a clan against randoms. Yes, it's definitely counterable, especially if you're in coms. but its not really fun. Even when it's countered out, you don't feel like you achieved anything, it's annoying even when it doesn't work. Using coordinated tactics against casual players that are already proven to work, is scummy. Generally just means the person can't pull it off in a real competitive game so they do it in a casual setting.
Kris V While I agree taking a 5 stack into casuals and pub stomping is classless, can you explain to me how one Erlang invading speed is equivalent to someone abusing exploits or glitches, both of which are literally cheating?
@@henrythegod6756 I'm glad you agree with the first part, but I want to point out there Is a reason I said it is "similar" and not "equivalent". It is similar because it has the same effect, where even when you counter the player, it doesn't feel fun or rewarding, just like when you counter a 5 stack death balling, it doesn't feel really rewarding it's just more of a "thank God that's over I need a break now". The 5 stack affects your whole team or at least the 2/3 it targets. The constant invade only affects one person, but it has the same aftertaste. That doesn't mean invading is bad, but constant invades in a casual match like that is distasteful, and in a similar vein of toxicity as casual deathballing.
Kris V Still feels like a false equivalency. Exploits and glitches cannot be countered, 1 random dude invading speed can. I haven't been up to date in the Smite meta in recent weeks, so correct me if I'm wrong, but the complaint here is the constant invade of speed buff? In previous seasons, that was also a strategy. Then it fell out of failure. This isn't a game breaking strategy, it's just a good one at the moment, and it will similarly fall out of favor when another tactic is proven to be more effective. This is just evolution of the meta, and while it might be "unfun" it's not a very difficult solution. It adds unpredictability to the game, especially the start. Will they invade? Will they not? As the person being invaded, YOU need to adapt. In summary: it's counter able, it's not insane to suggest most people can solve the problem (unlike going against a 5-stack), and is annoying, no doubt, but just an evolution of both player and meta.
Everytime someone does an invade in casuals I just see then smashing the ping location every time you spend more than 2 seconds at fountain buying shit. #makecasualscasualagain
I know it's annoying dealing with invades in casuals, but for a lot of people casuals is ranked training mode. It's been a while since you used conquest in that way, but with your analytical way of playing, I guarantee you used to use it to collect data.
I find the argument at the start of the video redundant. It’s a MOBA, the point of the game is to do whatever it takes to get ahead of the other team and win. For all you know they were trying out the early invade strat in casual before taking it to ranked to see how well it works or not. In the end you’re just getting mad that the enemy is playing the optimal start and there’s nothing you can do about it, and because there’s nothing you can do about it it’s somehow their fault for doing it and trying to win. Then your reasoning is, “If it was ranked I understand because you gotta get those wins.” Do people play casual to lose games? I don’t get it.
I agree, it’s all a part of trying to win. If you pull it off, good on you. If it’s a bad strategy, then you possibly lose. And that’s how games go. I remember back in the day when people hated campers in halo and cod, but sniping is both a real life and video game strategy. I was never a camper, but ran up on the campers with a shot gun. All strategies have both advantages and risks, but people somehow hated dying more to a sniper. And same for smite, all this “try hard” gods and strats. All gods can be played well, just depends on the player and situation/team comp. less crying, more silly fun... it’s a game after all.
DnD 5e Fun is subjective. Some people have fun winning. Some people have fun getting high amounts of kills. Some people have fun supporting the team. Labeling something as unfun and therefore, “Not okay.” is just an an excuse for making an objective argument supported by subjective evidence.
Matthew Scully Actually my entire argument is, “Try Harding in Casuals is okay because it’s a PvP MOBA and the point of the game is to do whatever it takes to beat the enemy team, which is easier to do if you’re ‘Try Harding.’”
Sorry if I was a little salty in the start, I hate that invade strat
as you can probably tell :p

dude i hate that people in cassuals sometimes the people wants have a really good time and farma and chill and this persons are really dumbass
I’m pretty sure that Ymir popped sprint I don’t think he was “speed hacking” but maybe I’m wrong.
I hate doing it honestly

Lmao whenever someone takes your speed i think "mast is going to break your legs in 10 different places later".
"Wait for our broke ass to get money"
Me too mast
Where can I find the Da Ji art:0
At 6:22 you can see the Merc on the XP camp. That's where he went
@Mast A tip for Cerb if you Ult and then take 2 steps back and use the spit you can hit all targets that are lifted up and stun them and deal massive damage!

"wtf are you talking about"
now they know
Invalid was on off in smite i remember invalid in beta
Invading a cerb jungle is a new definition of try harding
They were probly expecting cerb solo bacchus support ne zha junglw
Apparently invading as solo is "sweaty" LOL
I used to invade sev as grux because grux early was nuts, when he had bleed on double pain
I've gotten accused of speed hacking in Arena due to massive lag.
You have the best self commentary ever lol always makes me laugh and enjoy the videos
Hirez should make wards free before the one minute mark. Seems like the smartest way to discourage invading.
6:27 Merc was on xp, you can see his 1

Another question for you, why don't you build cooldown on some gods? I assume cooldown benefits every god.
You don't always need the cdr. Sometimes the extra dmg is fine too. It's preference though imo. I always build cdr too

22:55 poor Ymir just want to have fun
Imagine picking Erlang Shen and trying to invade the speed buff in casuals. What a life he must live.
Mast start is my mood

He was unusually saly coming into this whole game not just from the early invade. It affected his plays
One big counter I did was to tell Bakasura solo to do blue buff with mid and while jungle go to blue do red. It pissed them of.
A chronos pendant woulda went a long way
Shane I know I said that so many fucking times lol
Literally did Cerberus jungle yesterday and It was super fun
I'm not the best at smite but I have an idea. If I play cerb in duo lane and run the mage blessing, would that work?
Nooo
@8:14 the Ymir did use heavenly lol.. that little bit of lag was interesting though
Very recently cerb got a buff so you could try this again. He steals more healing of shreds more protections.
How do you always get shamans and yet still cant say the word
sheamuns
The portal that janus makes with his 1 can only be used once by 1 person but his ult portal can be used once by everyone (you cant go back through)
I absolutely hate invades in casual games to the point where I actively ask my solo laner to stay nearby to watch for the invade
If you do the invade start I camp and bm your lane/buffs no exceptions. Also never saw the “speed hack/lag” thing until crossplay came and it only ever happens on PC players so...

Btw u can use abilities before they land while ur ulting(other than jump)
I'm a new Smite player and I'm trying to play Cerberus as a tank in joust. Any recommendations on builds
Khumba jg is nuts , you literally get pen boots and soul reaver second item and 1 shoot any1 w/o beads
Dude did you know you can still cast your other abilities while they are getting knocked up by cerberus ult its really cool
I feel you on being salty about the invade start but honestly you doing that video on Ratatoskr level 1 gank on mid with full acorn is 20 times more cancerous
He was probably practicing the strat for his ranked games do he knew how to do it when he decided to do it in ranked
Anyone know where I can watch spl games right now? I usually watch on SmiteVod
Mixer I believe
I never ended up invading, but I definitely wanted to since harassing the enemy jungler sounded like more fun than babysitting my "carry"
@Mast oi listen here you funny man, i was that ymir, and i was suffering not speed hacking.
Hate how people think casual is a tournament and them clans that play against randoms and spam laugh when they win
I always spam laugh win or lost hahaha
Honestly magus on cerb is gross because the double pen shred is a nightmare. Basically true damage on your one

Salty Mast is entertaining Mast.
Anybody know why I can't find a match it always says highest priority but I never find a match (I play PS4 and oce btw)
Mr Goose hey I had this happen too. Try changing your preferences in settings to only console, restart your game, and swap it back.
@@jameslang8115 how do I change my preferences though because I thought there is no cross play on PS4?
Oooooo I got a smite ad on this video
Mast that thing with the ymir was lag, when people speed hack generally they don't teleport they tend to have the animation speed.up
I fucking love this guy his voice
If u wanna see the vid against weaken go to weaken twitch 29 march yesterday its around 1:56:00 im not sure if mast has it on his twitch but thought its fun to see what weaken reaction is
Yay another video
6:25 bruh he's right there
Just let the dude do the strat if he wants too, to each there own dude
Love u mast and yea that strat is dumb I just ignore and farm then crush them cuz they are under lvl. Ppl always try it on me doesn't work out for them.
Mast, I was there when you were playing Ravana with Mattypocket on the opposite team. Can I ask why you didnt end immediately?
because my team didn't want to? can't exactly solo titan as ravana
You should try a bancroft rush, he works well with it.
and by that I mean after boots but tiny trink starter then pen 3rd
Why would you rather go deso and not magus?
Merc was on the camps to the left of you
Ooh I've been waiting for a spicy Cerberus video
Is this from the guardian jungle stream
Lmao invading is so annoying but I have to try invading now
Erlang getting what he deserved for invading in casuals XD
Are you not streaming?
Awesome, but we need that Snek Jungle!
Medusa? Jorg? Nu wa? Kukulkan?
NO THE BIG SNEK! WORLD SNEK
I wanna hear the reasoning for skipping Chronos Pendant.
Magis is better than deso and is so easily applied
Soul reaver got nerfed for burst, and extremely buffed for dot.
