- Forty-eight recruits spent 16 long weeks training with the best at Grand Valley State University's Police Academy, so we went behind the scenes to get an inside look of a "Day in the Life" of 13 GRPD recruits and what it takes to be a police officer. This installment chronicles police academy life from the perspective of three GRPD recruits: Bryan Casey, Amanda Stewart and Blake Walton.
I'm a EMT and i have all the respect for ya'll. Hope to at least try to become an officer one day. But i gotta get myself in shape first, and fix myself. No one is perfect, nor am I. But i will have integrity when the time comes. (even tho i don't have criminal history or even traffic violations)
My grandpa works for the grand Rapids police
I admire them hope to become an officer soon stay safe
Fake.
I hope they remain good cops who do their due diligence when establishing reasonable articulable suspicion.
Such a big fan❤❤❤❤❤
Great video. It really shows the pride of becoming a police officer. Our appreciation and respect go out to all the officers that put their own lives at risk every day. Thanks for sharing. Are you recruiting again soon?
And you folks down in Texas take the cake. You want to be top dog in how many people you can surppress, how much violence you can incite and how many non violent people you can incarcerate and murder.
The evil runs deep down there.
Ur fake AI generated crap
Is that live-in police academy?

Class leader most likely
Ahhh, getting ready for a life of pointing your guns at 12 year-old black kids who aren't doing anything but playing??
They're just "playing" when they steal cars eh?
@@Rocky-zr1918 PLUS the WHITE kids who do that in *white* neighborhoods too, right??
Police are independently operated and controlled by whims and opinions of themselves, supervisors, judges, townships, cities, counties, and states! (Police are not educated lawyers, and many of them are without high school diplomas!)... The deputies or police attract abusive sociopaths, psychopaths, perverts, child molesters and narcissists like drugs are to an addict more than any legal profession! Police must pay financial damage from their own pockets for unlawful acts against innocent taxpayers or the policing problem can only exacerbate further hate and demise dishonoring the (For Profit) profession! QUALIFIED IMMUNITY: "Must be ABOLISHED " ...!
Any respect to the human rights, shame on you. Rest in Peace Patrick Lyola. Taking someone's life make you weak, racists you are.
You’re off your meds again, bud
Trying to reply to an idiot is kind of trying to judge a fish for his inability to climb a tree. I will not play in dirt water like you
At what point in the academy do you teach your recruits to violate citizens rights and murder them? Do you only accept terrorist recruits that are fully indoctrinated, or do you train them to hate the constitution after you hire them?
There's a bunch of people with absolutely no morality and lots of abandonment issues. The job of a cop is to do anything he's told, no matter how evil. They can't even take responsibility for their actions and people act like they're heroes.
that is so unbelievably far from the truth that it was difficult to read. I am sorry that you experienced whatever lead you to develop these beliefs. In my community we are tasked with protecting our citizens constitutional rights, enforcing law, and maintaining order.
