  • Zeiss with their partners in Japan have made a fantastic quality scope but at a very competitive price without loss of features. They are compact, bomb proof and this model LRP S3 4-25x50mm has superb lens quality and clarity and their enormous adjustment range is designed for precision long range shooters but equally useful for us hunters. 34mm body, ED glass, T coatings and 90% light transmission. first focal plane reticule, MOA or Milrad adjustment.

Quality optic as one would expect from Zeiss.

Has Zeiss addressed their problems with their LRP S3 6-36x56 that required customers to send their scopes in for warranty repairs and some even had to send theirs is for 3 times in less than one year.
I hope the 4-25x50 model don't have such quality control problems and sure like to see a long term followup review to see if this one is more reliable than their dodgy 6-36x56 model.

How does the ziess optic compared to the steiner that you had? Im debating with the S5 3-18 and the steiner t6xi 3-18 and can't make up my mind.

Very hard to choose between the two to be honest, both are excellent scopes, you need to see them side by side to make up your mind.

@@broadswordballistics does the objective of 50mm and 56mm make much of a difference in optical performance? Or is it more just a design thing and weight measures at this price point?
