  • Decided to do an improvised review of the #AdvancedElements #Packlite #inflatablekayak while paddling in Norrtälje, Sweden on 7/20 2022.
This extremely light kayak weighs only 1.8kg and packs into a small bag of dimensions less than 30x30cm. It's a nice resource for when you need to bring something along at minimal weight and size, as I did during this combined trip. Accidentally left the inflatable seat (a kind of pillow you sit on) at home, but paddled along without issue with a dry bag as support!
The Packlite seat can be seen from just before five minutes into the following video, which also shows the Packlite outer cover optional upgrade: • How to set up Advanced...
Photo credit: Initial photo/video of the kayak in the water by a nice woman passing by who took an interest in inflatable kayaks and helped take photos.

Thank you for posting this. I do multi-day bike tours in Greece- much hotter than Sweden 😉- and this seems like a great little vessel to pack along.

Thank you for your feedback and glad it could be helpful! Sounds like tough temperatures indeed for multi-day bike tours😎This sounds like it could be useful indeed then!

@@AirOnTheWater Well… my bike tours in Greece are in April-May, not in August with 40+ degrees. 🥵😄

I'd be interested to know what inflatable seat you normally use with your Packlite?

Sure! The Packlite comes with a seat which is more of a cushion. It provides something to sit on but no real back support. As such, my own custom solution is sometimes to use the seat and also have a drybag full with spare clothes behind me for a little bit of extra back support (secured with a strap in case it were to go in the water). You can see the official Packlite seat from just before five minutes into this video (which also shows the optional outer cover upgrade): ua-cam.com/video/aSDqhXW9_2w/v-deo.html

@@AirOnTheWater Thanks for the info. I actually have an AE Packlite, bought about 6 years ago but it didn’t come with a seat back then - hence the question. I’ll see if AE will supply it separately. 🙂

@@stuc8446 Good luck! If not, you can probably find something like "inflatable kayak seat cushion" or similar on Amazon or E-bay for a low price that's comparable, as long as the measurements fit.
