If I'm Orlando, I'm not upset by that loss. They're a very young team, they increased their wins by 12 the last 2 seasons. Paolo Banchero is a confirmed playoff riser and only 20 years old. Future is very bright in Orlando
Until PG13 comes next season and stunts all their growth lol…naw I actually think pg13 would turn them into a contender if everything worked perfect and they stayed healthy.

On the other , i feel like team chemistry and defensive organization is a problem for Orlando.
Mo Wagner made horrible plays or should i call them "non-plays" in defense throughout the series.
He is not a starter of course , but still.
We should also not rule out the possibility of Orlando being as talented and young as they are , that they might stay trapped in "talent hell".
it is not a given that they will improve.
Many young talented teams before them never got to the Conference Finals let alone the ring.
Plus Orlando as a small market has little chance against the league fixing issue.

We don't want LeBron or his son playing in Cleveland. He fulfilled his promise to get a championship for Cleveland and glad he left afterwards. Way too much drama and dysfunction when LeBron is playing for the Cavs.

One of the best first round series this season, both teams played hard all series, back and forth, but Cavs got hot in the second-half this game, nothing they could do
I thought Orlando was going to win. But gritty win by Cleveland, huge 3rd quarter, they did a great job defending their home court in the series, the block in Game 5 was timely. Also their first playoff series win without James since 1993.

Garland was throwing bricks all night but got to give him credit he was also throwing down some solid defense, the whole game. Glad to see him score a bit in the 4th.

DG actually sat on the bench a lot of the game. Which he deserved but damn feels bad.
I was really surprised at how good DG was on defense this series. When he first came into the league he was easy pickings. Now he's planting his feet and walling off much bigger dudes.

As a Cavs fan, this was a great series by the Magic. Mosley is a hell of a coach Paulo Banchero and Franz Wagner are the building blocks and they have a bright future in the sunshine state. Jalen Suggs deserves respect too for fighting through a variety of injuries.

Knicks fan here. Magic gave us hell this year in the regular season. They will be competitive and even moreso with the right moves. They are gonna be a problem in the east for a while to come.

@@jeffryhammel3035 I'll take Lauri Markkanen. It's worked out well for Utah despite him missing games due to injury. If him and Colin Sexton stay in Utah for a while and work on staying healthy, they could make a really deep run in the playoffs as a solid one-two combo.

donovan mitchell... he stepped up when his team needed to be elevated and he just saved the game. he wasn't great at first half bu that didn't knock him out the game and he more than made up for it in the 2nd half especially in 3rd quarter. he's one of them rare real superstars. banchero was really great too, gotta give it to him. he has a bright future if he'll keep improving himself and if orlando get right pieces around him.
It's been 3 years since Mitchell put up superstar numbers in the playoffs. He's a regular star at the moment.
@@penkima4923 Yeah I'm a NY native, and a Knicks fan, but I'll say that I'd be stupid NOT to take MItchell if he was up on the table. I'd take Colin Sexton, Lauri Markkannen and even Okoro plays really solid defense and will get you 8 and 9 boards.

Mitchell is a selfish player that will never win a thing. All bringing him onto this Cle team did was stunt Garland's growth.

Great series! I’m glad to see Donovan M. step up as a superstar but Orlando won’t forget this next year. They put the whole league on notice.
Mitchell hasn't played like a superstar in so long, he's back to being a regular star.
Great run for the Magic, lots to be proud of this season. Keep on getting better, Boys! Now the brass needs to go get a real point guard they can trust.
Teams like Orlando are one piece away from being a power in the East. I get tired of just seeing Boston, Philly, Miami, and Milwaukee. It'll be an interesting off-season.

There's something about Banchero, that makes him seem like selfish and cocky, and not a team player. He did play a better game than Franz. Although, Banchero's shot wasn't on target, and he turned the ball over.
Kinda wanted Orlando to play the Celtics. Their length would have been a problem for the Celtics. Cavs will win 1 game and only because the Celtics have lapses in concentration

Franz Wagner and Banchero played a decent series, but not one Magic player played a good game 7.
Mitchell was amazing. When they were down almost 20 he carried them single handedly. Again. All through this series. To me as a neutral nba follower he's the best shooting guard in the league at the moment. Better than Booker, Murray, Irving, Brown. Combine him with one player that's a real good point guard, forward or big man- like Jokic, Brunson, Tatum, Edwards (as PG) - and you've got a championship team.

This magic team has a bright future. It's a bit of a shame that they thought it would be a good idea to keep on playing at a high tempo when they were dominating the Cavs. They should have slowed down to leave them doubting. But that's how your learn. I'm afraid for our friends in Ohio that the level of inconsistency of their team has the Celtics' equipment manager already loading the brooms in the trunk.

How is a 21 year old Paolo Banchero is exhausted after playing 42 minutes and Lebron 39 year old who plays a whole game and doesn't break a sweat enhancing drugs.
The Magic are just not ready yet. They still need to figure a bunch of things out to get to that next gear, and sad to see that Franz Wagner picked the worst day to have a really bad offensive game.

The Magic wasted an 18-point lead in the first half! Too young, I guess--probably still a couple of years and a couple of steadying veterans away from being a real threat. I thought they'd be able to give us more of an entertaining series against Boston than the Cavs, because they don't quit and have tons of energy to spare (but very unreliable offense). Without home court, Cavs will likely quit after a couple of inevitable beatdowns by the Celtics, series going 5 games most likely. I don't like Boston, but this won't be even competition between the loaded Celtics and Cavs that can have problems both on offense and D. We likely have seen the best Eastern Conf series in NY vs. Philly already. Go Knicks!

That's all Mobley needs to do is play like he's 7'0 tall and jumps higher than everybody. Pin your guy on your back and drop those jump hooks in from 5 feet, pin everything to the backboard, and punish folks for going small on the o-boards. That'll give them that 1-2 with Mitchell and keep him in town, hopefully. He seems like he's just playing to get back to NY, but it would actually be something to see him playing next to Brunson.
