Why Māori celebrate the ikura/period

    Wow. I spent many years during my ikura sharing it with the earth while holding the intention of connecting and honoring the earth. This practise stemmed from a Pleaidian wisdom I'd learnt and when I reached menopause in my late 50's I actually mourned the fact I couldnt continue with this practise so I find it really neat to come across your video and explanation of the connection Maori has with this practise. I'm Maori and was born in NZ but wasnt raised by Maori and Ive spent most of my life living in Australia so I have not learnt much of our cultural ways but it pleases me heaps that this aspect of having ones ikura and sharing it with the earth is part of our natural heritage. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.

    I respect our culture but many do not because the country is changing each year.
