Just a doubt that I want to clarify doc. The old method involves 45 degree bevelling but in modern methods we try to achieve a bevel of 0-10 degree. Am I interpretting it right?
Amalgam is an old approach to this case, in modern more conservative Dentistry amalgam has no place. There are so many less harmful with better result materials in a market like MTA or biodentin to use which makes amalgam almost invisible.
Spring Shah I think it’s hard for us dental students, because we are mostly taught outdated methods by people who failed in private practice and can’t let go of the method they learned in dental school in the 80’s. There are exceptions. I have had a couple of wonderful, competent, and modern dental school teachers. But they are rare. And we still usually come out learning techniques that should have stopped being used 20 years ago.

That is correct! A minimal bevel angle helps to preserve dentin, reduce the amount of dentinal tubules exposed, and provides a more predictable seal.
Incision needs to be parallel or perpendicular to the long axis of the involved tooth?
Excellent, thank you!
Doc beside MTA , we can also use amalgam :)

Super EBA and Zinc free amalgam can also be used in Apicoectomy, however, MTA has the higher rate of success for this procedure.
@@springsh6678 It’s 2022 and at my Dental School, they’re putting amalgams all the time. I don’t get it either, but hey, they’re the teachers.
