R53 Mini Cooper S - Nürburgring Road Trip

After getting our R53 Mini Cooper S back on the road and legal, we decided to embark on a 3 day trip to the Nurburgring in Germany. We went across on the Euro Tunnel and then returned on the Ferry to make it feel more like a round trip.
UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands & Germany in a day.
Unfortunately due to a driveshaft issue we only managed 1 very careful lap, but at least we can say we've been on the legendary Nurburgring :)

Just finished it, what an adventure! 😄 curse that bloody drive shaft! Still say E’s launch is one of the highlights, and that includes yours right at the end! That 360 camera is ace! You totally have to go back for a part 2, there is some unfinished business here!!

I know on the R56 and other 2nd generation models, you can change the digital speedo on the rev counter from MPH to KPH. I presume it should be the same for the R50-53, I could be wrong. I enjoyed the video, I'm planning on going to the ring next year

Thanks, that is handy to know. Deffo recommend it, next time we'll give ourselves an extra day just to explore the area and some extra time to visit the Michael Schumacher museum on the way. If you're into gaming, then it's worth driving the track to get to know it on something like Forza. My sons knowledge of the track was invaluable, there are lots of bends that jump out at you 😀
