Thank you so much for sharing your documentary about Barnsley days gone bye.. Special thanks to John irwin. Although I don't originate from Barnsley.. But my girlfriend does, Angie is her name. We love your song bus trip.. Although it sounds funny but also so very true.. I would like to know what dearn Valley used to be.. Me and Angie has walked around a couple times. Maybe it was part of iron stone? Would be interesting to know. We live in a small village called market Overton, in Rutland. A lot has changed I remember dad used to say why don't you have a ride over to see your grandma! As we lived in Cottesmore 2 miles from market Overton, I can remember playing cricket in the entrance to one of the farms. There are no farms in Cottesmore and no farms in market Overton! Also there used to be a shoe mender called Gibson. Also a blacksmiths, all gone and now houses. I guess it is the same everywhere! Many thanks again. I have listened to your bus trip song many times. I love the old songs.. Sandy Powell, also Stanley holloway monologues. Very clever work that John did putting the photos together. I can't remember the 2 other gentlemen with you.. But they seem to have great knowledge of how Barnsley used to be. Thank you and good look with your up and coming video footages.

Hi Dave I was wondering if you've got any photo's or film of Cemetery Road in Barnsley? I've a fair few Sheffield Road photos but only one of Cemetery Road and that's taken from Sheffield Road just looking down past Queen Victoria pub so I can't quite see my house.

Hi Carol -have you seen this 1959 footage of Cemetery Road-it was done on an old clockwork 9 mm camera-not much changed-its 1 minute and 55 seconds in-cheers Dave-click-ua-cam.com/video/wvWzzZlda30/v-deo.html
