Very interesting. I love this incredible film and A. I. Bezzerides' take on Spillane's novel, which is anything but "lousy." Contrary to his big-lug image, Spillane was an excellent wordsmith.
I love the movie but my science nerd side rebels against the nuclear box. He wouldn't even be able to lift it due to the weight , let alone the amount of radiation would kill him.
Haha, if it helps think of it as more of a fantasy troupe than a science-fiction. Sleeping beauty was awakened with a kiss, not a respiration machine :D
i saw this in a theater in Chicago when it came out. it was like a kick in the head. Great movie.
