if you're using a pillow with measurements that differ from mine, simply add 1 inch to the height and width, totaling 1/2" to accommodate for the girth of the pillow, and 1/4" allowance per seam.

I also want to make my own things for myself with my style but don't know where to start because all the intro things i find including in my sewing book has me make thing like table cloths and curtains which I don't because I don't want to waste fabric or make things I won't use. please make this series.

Love this! I just got some velvety yarn to use on new pillows. I think I will have to use lots of strands to get it really thick, but that's okay. I plan to glue it down with tacky glue. Thanks for the great tips!

I like this a lot, I actually really wanna make a cool pillowcase with a buttload of fringing on it, I could just hand sew lines of fringing on a pillowcase yeah?

You may have said this already but do you prefer hand sewing? I love doing quick craft/diys like this but I definitely don’t have the patience for hand sewing. I prefer a Sewing machine but I definitely need to learn patience.
