Hate to burst your bubble bros but Sabres have enough 1st round picks on the team and in the system who can dance with the puck , they're in dire need of players who are willing to fight and battle for the puck when they don't have it.
That is why I for the first time since I was a teen actually feel they should trade the first. It makes more sense now than ever. An NHL ready now 25 year old, over 6 foot, but not slow and around 225lbs is what this team needs. I know a first alone would not get this, but imagine if this team had a 2000-2008 Pronger on the team?
@@Buffalosabskis agree , on every Sabres team coached by Lindy he's had at least 2 players on his teams that fit your description, players who never backed down from a challenge and always answered the bell for a team mate. He knows what this team needs and Sabres are in a great bargaining position with there depth.
but you dont spend the 11th OA on a player like that, there is plenty of grinders, power forwards, and high compete/motor guys throughout the draft, you take a swing at a gamebreaker at 11. look at benson 13th OA last year, still plays a tough game but he also has skill and hockey sense. Keon had the most accurate comment "gotta be able to skate" thats a fact, the ability to skate and play at a high pace is more important now than being able to fight guys.
@novanator3355 preferably that pick in a package deal not on "a" player. The Sabres are a young fragile team in need of some veteran leadership with some toughness.
@@novanator3355 No one is talking about an "enforcer". We are talking skilled with hockey IQ and grit. Some people might not score a ton of goals, but have a plus minus and defensive game that would probably require that we give up more than the first pick alone.
Normally I find the phrase "It's your boy" to be incredibly annoying and overused but Dion is most definitely our boy! As always, love the energy and personality from both of these dudes! Keon is a great fit in Buffalo and I really believe he will be considered a top 10 WR sooner than you'd think!
