Can’t wait for this to come out! Currently writing up a bit of homebrew lore for my own regiment of Imperial Guard and the Krieg feature heavily! Looking forward to adding these to my army! Great video dude! 🤩
Could be great if they can bring back the Talarn guys. With the new codex we are going to be able to put a rogal dorn as tank commander, that means we could take 3 rogal dorn + 1 as tank commander, so 4 rogal dorn in total? :)
The implication that the heavy weapon teams will be shoot-on-death via the fire coordinator is gonna be crazy. I think infantry only guard will finally have scary antitank when even if you focus fire the fragile hwts, you may have to suck a lascannon shot when you take a model. Great trade peice opportunity!
Cadian Sergeant Steel, you have to read the Platoon Command Squad datasheet more closely. One guy can take the heavy flamer! It's my go to load out when they're with Solar and a unit of Kriegers.
While I love what they've done with the cavalry and the engineers, I'm not too sure about the artillery. Even if the heavy howitzer is not a replacement for the earthshaker, it still looks rather 'anemic'. I don't think a skinnier barrel and hugely simplistic muzzle break is my Idea of the WWI riveted howitzer look. Nothing that some evergreen plastic or spare basilisk/medusa bits can't fix though. I did originally guess they were going to bring that heavy arty to replace the online-only 5th edition mechanized artillery; here's hoping I am wrong on that count. The command squad and HWTs are very cool and I can see them both going into a new Krieg army and getting converted into something for a Valhallan army.
Oh my Lord Comissar!! They do look great and I love more artillery... but Its a bit silly that its placed on 130mm bases, the old FW guns are going to look so tiny! 😢
That's true! I've been trying to problem solve thr base size issue with the old FW artillery pieces. I am thinking of doing what GW did and adding sandbag emplacements and other diorama components to flesh it out. It'll also also for the crates with the mortar rounds and such to be spaced out better. Maybe that will help.
As someone that is new to the game, I'm super exited for the Death Korps (already finished few novels). Im sad that is very hard to get the old models. Do you know or someone else if they can be printed at home? :)
I don't know whether the exact models can be printed at home (and generally 1:1 copying is frowned upon by most people), but there are probably some people offering things like grim guard, trench troopers or shovel enthusiasts STLs out there.
I think you missed the story telling on Drier. What you missed there is that the horse got shot and also hit the lord marshal and both got mechanical replacements.
Whilst I don't mind the new artillery carriages, I'd be lying if I did not say that in my opinion that if it's a replacement for the Earthshaker and Medusa carriages it's a poor one. They look good, but not that damn good.
No. I think they directly say the siege cannon one is the Heavy Mortar replacement and the long gun is a new siege cannon with 3 damage. Not sure any other stats. But we have the Quad Launcher and Heacy Mortar already in Legends so we could look to those to see what's up.
The Ridemasters are probably baked into the Death Rider squads now, just like the Watchmasters in the Infantry Squads. I was also expecting a separate Ridemaster, so this part is disappointing.
This new release finaly gives me the units i need for my ww1 german army... finaly my all quiet on the western front but warhammer dream is finaly real
I just don't like the heavy weapons, especially the flamer being wheeled emplacement instead of the classic 2-man team where one carries the large fuel tanks and the other carries the nozzle.
Yeah, a heavy flamer should be something that has utility as an assault weapon. You cannot be wheeling the bloody thing through no-man's land and barbbed wire entanglements.
@@rileyernst9086 yeah, the wheeled emplacements just don't make much sense for the Trench warfare of the Kriegers. The wheels are just gonna get stuck on everything, you need something you can lift up and carry on your legs, because legs are much better at navigating trenches and barbed wire and shit.
@@Stormeris They make sense for the largely static weapon emplacements they are. I can not imagine it being easier to huck a Cadian style tripod mounted crew served las cannon over wire and up and down craters and trenches than these wheeled carriages. It's something you do in a pinch, or to consolidate a newly secured position(ideally you'd be hopping out of a chimera or taurox). But firing as you advance? That's seriously what tanks chimeras and things like Armageddon/Elysian style bipod mounted heavy bolters, missile launchers, heavy stubbers, and grenade launchers are for. A heavy flamer is an assault weapon. Something you want charging up there with your lead elements and getting up to the enemy's positions to torch them out.
Combat Engineers are now loking like Grenadiers, not at all like the Engineers they were, also, Krieg were previously not interested in any adornments apart from rank and memento mori. This new commander is much too blingey.
The horses are vat made, but are repaired with cybernetics. They also have subdermal armor implants for extra protection
"Its good that they're limiting us to 3 artillery batteries, it's unfun for opponents otherwise"
"So I'm gonna take 3 and 6 FOB's" 😆😆
It's how we say hello from the Imperium 🤣
Never stop saying hello
The real question is: "Does that leave room to fit 3 basilisks?"
I see you're a man of culture as well.
You mean everyones second favorite regiment… FOR CADIA!!!
No planet ⬅️👖🐕💩
Third favorite after Vostroya

Very happy for you guys who play Krieg ! I know most of you are getting these. ( what about my Elysians ? 😢)
I wish we had gotten a single squad of Elysians rather than the Aquilons. That's my opinion.
It will be a fierce fight to get 1 box ^^
The rucksack on the Command Squad’s Melta Gunner is the same one as the Sapper in the Death Korps Kill Team. The round thing on the top is a mine.
Can't wait to convert those Heavy Weapons Teams into a Lascannon squad for my Catachans 😍
I’m so excited. Time to complete a full Krieg regiment.
THAT IS GOING TO BE VERY POPULAR AND PROBABLY ALL GOING TO BE SOLDOUT!I WILL DEFINITLY BE GETTING SOME WHEN THEY COME OUT,ESPECIALY THEIR TANKS!

Hope the centaur will make its way into the codex. What your thoughts on the artillery profiles?
I am pretty optimistic about them. I think the siege cannon will be very popular.
Certainly want a Malcador infernus to go with the thematic of the army
The resin artillery carriages are already discontinued. The are on the site as no longer available instead of out of stock

If I could only get my hands on 1 model it would be the Artillery kit
I hope they come out with a krieg upgrade kit for the solar auxilia leman Russ that adds in sponsons and a krieg tc
0 chance.

@@CadianSergeantSteel Well if it's additional to Earthshaker and Medusa carriages it's an idea I can get behind!
I wonder if we are going to lose the Death Rider Squadron Commanders?
I was thinking of that after finding out they are doing deathriders again.
Possibly. Or maybe they will stick around in resin for a bit? 🤔
The Ridemasters are probably baked into the Death Rider squads now, just like the Watchmasters in the Infantry Squads.

I’m surprised the regular death korps marshal didn’t get a plastic kit
It's looking nice.
Hans get ze Flammenwerfer, the HEAVY Flammenwerfer
I will get that big gun... And I will put cadians on the base
SO HYPE
The platoon command squad can take a heavy flamer, could the whole edition 🤦🏻♂️
Sorry. Slipped my mind. It's a big and complicated game.

no grenadiers or macharius? i am sad.
None... yet.
Melta mine on top of backpack. Perhaps.

AAAAH! Thanks for explaining why Kreig need Commissars, that makes sense 😊
Happy to help! For the Emperor!
Krieg, NOT Kreig :P
