In 2012, Caroline and Patrick were invited by Beyoncé's team to go into a New York studio for a few days and create original demos for her eponymous 2013 album. It was Solange who got them that chance, as she is a collaborator and a good friend of Patrick and Caroline. Several songs were produced. Beyoncé ended up taking No Angel. Chairlift got to keep Ch-Ching. Everybody won. And I still can't believe that happened. No Angel won Caroline her first Grammy nomination. More to follow.

I haven't heard anything of theirs since Bruises. This is outstanding. Production. Writing. Performance. Video. I'm hooked.
I used to love bruises and superfruit said something about chairlift in one of their vids so i thought i should check and see if there are any new vids and there are.
They've split as a band since, and Caroline now does her own thing.

I'm literally so addicted to this - and them. She has so much chemistry with the camera it's ridiculous. The song's probably deeper than it sounds, and the difference in this video compared to their others (and older ones) just shows they have tons of variety and incredible talent. They deserve so much more recognition. Moth is such a great album.
Seriously, this song through headphones is surprisingly rich. It is full Beyonce mode, as it was pitched to her as a demo first.
They never even go back to the 1st verse.
It's like: Intro 1, Intro 2, verse, pre- chorus, chorus, then they play the intros in reverse order (?) and just go back into a chorus.
So sad they dont collab anymore. What Patrick did is masterfully in mixing this last album, anyone with a good pair of cans can really appreciate the sound even from streaming paltform and youtube.
Are they still on good terms? I'm sure they'll collab again in the future. Caroline's solo stuff is genius.

There are so many layers to this. Fantastic.
I wasn't sure about the new direction but, i just saw them live two days ago and it was amazing. The only old song they played was Bruises, the rest were from the new album "Moth" and the new songs are really engaging and fun, but still complex.
This is such a brillliant development, worth the wait. Looking forward to the rest of it.

in love with this song, heard it on the radio. I thought it'd be more urban & r&b influenced video, but its completely different. Shes really captivating, her dancing is a little awkward looking but it makes it charming.

Caroline: The idea of putting numbers in the song was inspired by the song 777-9311 by Prince’s band, who made their own music under the name The Time. We got the actual numbers from the combination padlock on our studio.
