- Video on our 1963 harley servi car build from the frame up , 1957 servi car project and lots of unique features and differences between the two. Right hand and left hand shifters, foot clutch kick start , telescopic and springer versions, civilian and previously police dept trikes.
Very nice trikes
Thanks.
Great job. I hear ya when you said you really have to pay attention when riding because of the reversed controls. I had a Suzuki 1000, a WLC, a 73 Triumph and a 37 BSA Empire Star on the road at the same time. All had different shift, brake set ups and patterns.
That makes riding interesting. That’s one part I truly enjoy. It’s not about listening to a radio when I ride or hit cruise control. It’s about the experience of riding the old bikes. Their differences. What it takes to start, ride and their unique characteristics.
Fellow SC owner here, good episode!
thanks . Happy you enjoyed it
The Astrodome in Houston had several old police ones for getting around to do maintenance on their he grounds and such
Really. That’s very cool. Love to see pictures or video of them.
I just recently received a 1962 servi car And it is currently all in pieces. the question I have is on the front end of the 63. does it have longer tubes then a standard model FLH Front end? Thanks
I put on 2 inch over stock tubes. I did the same on my 53 pan with adjustable triple trees and sidecar unit. Handles way better
OK thank you so much!!
I have a 52 servicar that I am starting to repair. It's basically complete, but missing the lid for the box. Lots of incorrect hardware and bits just not put together correctly.
A lid should be easy enough to source out. I had another early fifties project I traded off about 10 years ago and acquired another frame and parts of another frame and rear differentials. Can’t seem to get away from them. lol
Good luck with yours. They are fun and can be challenging bikes.
looking for a g model box support
Exactly what part? Frame work under box?
