@@sachinwadhwani4810 thank you. I’m returning everything. I’m having to much trouble with it and it’s brand new. Will the DJI work with the same mounts as the GoPro?
That's the best part about DJI. 90% of rhe mounts work on DJI and GoPro.. except ofcourse the main camera protective case which is unique to each camera.
@@sachinwadhwani4810 I’m going to try a different adapter to see if that is the problem. Like I said it was working a couple of night’s ago. Then all of sudden I tried to make a video last night. And it’s not even recognizing it when I plug it in. It just says n/a.
I use the Media Mod with GoPro Hero 8 and the 'Audio Input' says Audio N/A and does not give me those options - Standard, Powered etc. I updated the firmware manually to V2.51 Also the media mod mic is not recognized - in the input/output tab, Audio N/A in grey is all one can read. And when trying to select front/back mic in presets the word "stereo" in grey is all I have.. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks for the video and clear explanation.
I guess you'll have to take it one step at a time and keep eliminating possible causes along the way. Start with trying another mic, then try to use a friend's mic adapter etc. If your camera is still under warranty then you could try for a replacement. But yes this N/A is a big pain with the GoPro, it's pure luck and trial and error.

@@sachinwadhwani4810 yeah it’s frustrating. I never thought I had issues with it. I know I’m my 7 I use to be able to adjust the input but now I can’t. Can’t decide if the adapter went bad, something is wrong with the GoPro or if the mic somehow stopped working.

Hi Sachin, i had a similar problem. Though my output was displaying in Gopro as ''Powered Mic"" the sound wasnt recording. I tried using multiple mics yet the same issue. Eventually, i had to reset GoPro and now the prob is solved. Thanks.
There are two reasons. #1...the Gopro uses a standard type-C form factor, but does not fully conform to all the USB type-C protocols. So many of the type C add-on devices for a phone, for example, are useless on a GoPro...because it does not receive the data nor does it have the onboard capacity to process any of that unnecessary info. The second reason is that the GoPro camera adapter provides a mini STEREO digital audio interface. Not just a microphone input or 'type C adapter'. The adapter offers a level of high-quality stereo audio processing that is beyond the scope of the circuitry of the camera.
