If you don’t remember me, I was the guy who commented on you linemen video. But then I got switched to middle linebacker, thank you for making this video, I will be using this
My Nutrition tips for a Highschool linebacker, eat every thing you see. I gained 40 pounds from my Freshman to Sophomore year. Every lift went up at least 50 pounds. And my 40 time went from a 5.1 to a 4.72, we are going to do 40s again tomorrow, I feel way faster and I'm at 6'2.5 220 right now, I think imma run a 4.65 at worst
I’m a sophomore 15 6’5 230 i got a little gut nothing crazy and my arms are undefined, I can bench 190 for 6 haven’t gone above that yet. But my question is do I workout my core with the excess fat? I’m big and I feel like if I start a cut I’ll lose all my gains but I want to shred some of this fat so I can be as explosive as possible.
@@blackjesus2916 You should do a slight decrease in the calories you take in, and do ab workouts and everything, that way your not gaining weight but you also have enough food to supply your muscles with energy so you don't lose them, it'lltakesome time, but eventuallyyoushould see yourself slimming down some. What's your bench max.
@@lh8805 thanks I would go for the double plates but I workout at home and don’t have anyone to spot me most of the time. Not trying to die😂 maybe I’ll try it when I start going to conditioning soon.

Thank you Coach very much for sharing this, I really appreciate it. I have a question, I've seen the Linebacker's diet at lunch says Zevia. what's that. Greetings from Spain 🇪🇦
im 6’3 190, planning to be a linebacker next year, i have a solid lower body but my upper body is significantly weaker, i wanna get stronger but I dont wanna get fat, what do I do?
Eat a lot of protein and carbs, but keep sugar and dairy to a minimum. Make sure the proteins are *too* fatty. Fats are good to an extent, but you don't wanna over do it of course.
I don’t know if your still helping people in this comment section but I’m 13 and I’m gonna try out for linebacker next time I get a chance. I wanted to know what I should be eating and how many calories I should be consuming. I already have a big build (I’ve got a lot of strength in my arms and legs but I’m chubby) so I don’t know if I should gain weight, lose weight, or stay the same. I’m 5’6 and I weigh 160 pounds.
Wassup coach. Imma a 12 year old DE. I’m pretty undersized at 5’7” 135 but I’m great. Sack leader, TFL leader and 2nd in tackles. I bench 140 and run a 5.7 40. I’m really good at using technique and aggression. I’m going to start making protein shakes and eating protein. I hit the gym and train for D-Line. I’ve gained 20 pounds in the past 2 months and 1 inch. Do u think I’ll be good enough and big enough for starting Freshman Varsity. And does size matter in football if u r really good with technique
In my opinion the same thing as this but little more protein like chicken beef fish eggs and ect and carbs like rice sweet potato’s and normal potatoes
Don’t burn yourself out just focus on your footwork, core and legs and weighted push ups would help. I didn’t start lifting seriously until 9th grade and I could only get 90 up barely now my max is 190 we grow and develop faster then adults bc we are still growing👍
You need to gain more weight at least 20 pounds by next year eat 145 Grams of protein cause that’s how much you should aim to weigh you need to also lift and train speed you should gain about half a pound a week and you’ll be good which mean you need to be at a 1750 caloric surplus a week meaning daily you need to eat 250 more calories then your burning if your lifting it’s a safe bet that for every 30 minutes you lift for your burning 100 calories also running a mile is burning a 100 calories so add your workouts to about 1900 and then another 250 you are eating in surplus do this with the combination of speed and strength training and you will be world class
