    I was laughing all the way through this scene. It's brilliant, the camera's placed right above the bench like you're sitting on it in the same room witnessing all this happening.

    2:19 I really like how the vehicles move to transition your eye from their side to his

    There is two kind of people:
    1. "We need about to talk Belle"
    2. "We need to talk about Belle"

    Oh boi. It's such a fun cut. Characters were very expressive while the camera just sat there. Almost like you're on the actual scene sitting on a bench or something.
    Reminds me tho. There's a scene in Ghost in the Shell: Innocence that also uses a static cut with characters moving in and out of the scene. And it is one of my favorite cuts in all of animation. The part where Section 9 is about to leave a crime scene and forensics are coming in. The character animation involved in it is staggering. And it's all very realistic character animation. Hiroyuki Okiura is a mad man.

    Such a great animation analysis. You're pointing out details that wouldn't be full understood on a first viewing. And understanding how the animation works actually makes it funnier!

    Mamoru hosoda's character expressions are always so fun. 'The girl who leapt through time' is one of his best works, check it out if you're interested!

    First, I thought it was hilarious. Then I realized this scene, all of their behavior, is exactly my personality. Then I got really embarrassed for them.

    Mi piacerebbe usare tv Paint animati in pro per animare, ma ancora costa troppo per uso domestico, complimenti per tutti i tuoi video

    5:01 Exactly ! The animator is aware of the deeper implications/complexities therefore is able to express it elegantly and simple
    🙃 hi Howard let's chat sometimes for fun if you allow me to waste a bit of your time^^ it's nice seeing your progress, you learn very fast^^/

    I never take refrence for my animations ...like poses or character s , is that good or bad?

    • @HowardWimshurst
      @HowardWimshurst  Рік тому +6

      You're missing out on a valuable research step - where you can find interesting details to add into your animation. Recording / finding reference footage also helps take care of the mechanics of the movement, which frees you up to be more expressive with the animation.
