- I am feeling the pressure trying to get projects done while things don't go quite right. Is there such a thing as true balance? Will there be a day of full sun anytime soon? The stress is real, but also temporary-I love this life and am so grateful for the experiences I am having. I just want to vulnerably document the raw thoughts and emotions as they happen in this journey.

Veterinary technician here. You need to get your kitty into a veterinarian asap. He may have a urinary track infection and could very likely be blocked. It is a very common occurrence in cats especially male cats because their narrow urinary track can get blocked with crystals. If that is the case the vet would unblock him by putting a catheter in for a bit and get him on antibiotics and a special diet. Time is of the essence because the bladder can rupture. If he is hiding under the bed and also let out a long sort of howl type meow he is in pain and is telling you. It could be something else as well but a UTI or blockage is very common. If you have a emergency vet in the area I would get him in today.
I agree! we had a Maincoon named Buzzy he had that very ailment more than once pretty serious stuff the Vet had to intervene to unblock him. we switched to distilled water after that helped with the crystal's
Plus one. My male kitty got blocked and has been on RX food ever since. He has been happy and healthy ever since!
Hi everyone! Mowgli is doing completely better now! He took a couple days to relax and snuggle and now is back to his kind, active and silly self. I did contact the vet, and to be safe I am still bring him, but he seems to be all good. I will keep this information in mind though if something occurs in the future. Scary, but glad he is recovered!
@allymariebrown Thank heavens. Yes keep a close eye on him. If he has a litter box in the cabin, monitor how often he urinates or if he hangs out in it longer than usual . Also lots of fresh water for him but I am sure you know that. I know that I sound paranoid, but being a vet tech for many years, I have seen hundreds of cases of UTI'S and blockages in male cats. It's always something to be on the lookout for. I love your channel bye the way and am always amazed by your energy. You are a true inspiration. I have been into herbs and herbal remedies since I was in my twenties. I am 67 now and still learn new things every day about herbs and new ways to use them. Good luck to you with all that you're striving for.

Couldn't agree more! In regards to Mowgli, he's already doing MUCH better. A couple days of rest and he's back to his silly, active self! Must have been a little cold or something. I was ready to take him to the vet and still have apportionment coming up for him too.
I had a cat who acted lethargic all of a sudden like that, when he didn't improve we looked him over carefully and discovered puncture marks where he had been bitten by a snake! They were really hard to see so it's good thing we checked thoroughly. It was infected so we cleaned the wound out and got him some antibiotics and he was okay after that. Thank goodness, because his health went down so quickly!
Oh no that sounds crazy! Sorry you had to go through all that. We checked him over and he's good. He has actually recovered fully at this point, just needed a couple days to relax and he's back to his silly self thankfully :)

Mowgli May have a urinary tract infection. It’s very common and very serious. Make sure you see him urinate soon or get help. I lost my young male cat to one in two days time. Best wishes.
Thanks so much for your care! I did get in touch with the vet, but then he made a full recovery. Just needed some time to relax and snuggle. Back to his active, silly self now. I still am bring him to the vet though soon for a check up overall.

Thanks! Just trying to keep it real and document my feelings each week as the journey progresses. I am feeling a little bit better stress-wise today. Life sure has it fluctuations. I feel very aware and grateful for this life and how we live, but a 100% stress-free life doesn't exist for anyone! All part of the ebbs and flows.

make list , knowing it will never end , this unending list is the proof you are alive and doing it right , every day do as much as you can , without suffering burn out . A lot of the wonderful cathedrals took over 200 yrs to finish , yet they built them any way , knowing they would be long dead . So that project that will take 6 months to 3 years is a happy thing .

Great words of wisdom at the beginning part, especially! I'm 60 and solo, off grid, remote on gorgeous 3.5 acres surrounded by state land. My 'to do' list gets added to on a daily basis yet I only scratch one or two things off it (maybe!). Once in a while, I do absolutely nothing the entire day.... And that's ok, too, I've decided!

I laughed a lot when I saw you cutting your hair too, even same length 🤗I hope that your cat is feeling ok, sometimes there are plants that can be poisonous for them, it happened to my cat with one of my plants so I had to give those plants away. Thanks for another nice video. To get rid of mice I use dryer sheets they seem to not like the smell. Also good to repel insects , I tuck one under my hat when outside. Saw a video by a farmer that mixed half Jiffy Muffin Mix with Baking Soda and place some in cheap small plastic containers with lids . You cut a hole in one end for the mice to enter. Muffin mix is to attract the Mice, the baking soda causes bubble in the mice digestion system which they can not get rid of by burping or farting and it kills them. Hope they work for you.

What are your future aspirations?
Will you both be the final part of each others lives?
Are you each other, the one.
Longevity of life is a part of those years to come, not wanting any regrets being too late.
Meditation helps with these decisions.

☹️ poor Mowgli, I hope he gets better soon. I feel like I have similar hair issues too. I read that hair is the most delicate when it’s wet so it’s best to handle it when it’s dry. I feel like I still shed a lot but I notice my braids don’t look so thin anymore.
He's better now! Regarding the hair, we got this, just need to nurture the body and give lots of love.

Do you dehydrate? I dehydrate everything for winter and easy stock for soups, smoothies, toppings for eggs. An everything jar is great too.

Your hair looks really cute! I cut my own hair too, but my daughter has to make sure I don't miss any spots in back and she trims my neck for me! It saves so much money to do it myself! (and I'm rarely happy with a 'professional' cut!)

Hi thank you! It’s very simple and adjustable (I haven’t used an exact recipe yet)-just use as many blossoms as you can get-I collected about a handful-and then pour vinegar over the top in a jar. If you want a lighter taste, add less, or do the opposite for more potency. Two weeks later strain and enjoy!

Sunlight is a constant struggle in my garden in the woods, but I am managing it better this year!

Hello Ally and Kyle. If you were frustrated by your tub leaking out your buckets of water, then consider getting a pump and a surplus fire hose. it saves your energy, and can also be used to save your place in the event of wild fire. You already have your water supply.
We've got a liner coming in to solve it!

No worries! Pets are family, so it's not dramatic. I called the vet and am bring him in, though he is totally better at this point too!
