  • Hello :) Join me on my first ever pilgrimage from this July where I walked 23 miles across Shropshire along the abbesses way. This route started in Much Wenlock Priory all the way to Shrewsbury Abbey following the route set out by the British Pilgrims Trust:
    www.britishpil...
I wanted to try some new routes and get out into the local countryside and explore. This route was brilliant and I saw and learnt so much along the journey. The route visited a number of churches and points of interest along the way which we explore including Acton Burnell castle.

    Awesome.
I just done a 5 day pilgrimage from Newport Wales down to Glastonbury. I headed down for the solstice met some wonderful people and saw some amazing parts of the country along my journey. I set myself the task in the darkest days to see how our ancestors faired in the winter. Got a lot of respect for you cariad ❤

Without offending please accept my acknowledgement of how beautiful I find you, your soft spoken voice melts me, and if we did this together, you would have a coffee made ready for you. Yes I found the trails were overgrown if I do another one I would be better prepared with some tools. Sending you a heart warming hug on this new moon 🌚 ❤ blessings from your biggest fan Taff 😊

What a beautiful walk through the countryside. The churches and history you shared with us was absolutely amazing. We have many old sandstone churches in the state of New York but not nearly the age of those in England. Loved this video and thanks for sharing your religious journey. God bless.

Your walks seem to focus on Shropshire and Snowdonia. I grew up in Wolverhampton, and know these areas well. You say you’re interested in new routes. Well, I have a recommendation for mid Wales. From Barmouth you can summit Cadar Idris, where you can sleep in the bothy. Continuing NE you can follow the ridge line of the Arrans. That range drops you onto the shores of Llyn Tegid by Y Bala. It all takes two days, and transport is straightforward. You can use trains, or leave a car at the lake, take a bus to Barmouth and walk back. I’d also suggest the Black Mountains, especially Llanthony Priory. There is actually a pub in the basement . . .

@ethicalbunny Whorlton village, just next to Swainby on the way north towards Stokesley in North Yorkshire. The castle was built in the 12th century and the gatehouse added in the 14th.
You aren't supposed to climb the gatehouse and I wouldn't recommend it but you can see "ripples" in the next field where the houses were, the church is directly in front of the castle site and both are open to the public and free to visit. If I can find better directions or a grid reference I'll let you know if you're in the area.

You should check out the South Downs way and divert off to see Arundel Cathedral and Arundel Castle. Loads of Catholic artefacts including the rosary of Mary Queen of Scots which she had with her at her execution and her bracelet containing a relic of the true cross.

Great video... Not sure if you've been told, but there's a great pilgrimage in Herefordshire. I've recently done it.
Start at Hereford cathedral and sleep in the cloisters, then over several days walk round Herefordshire stopping in the medieval churches. Lovely facilities and well managed. Most can be locked during the night too for safety. Oh and there's tea and coffee facilities... Even hot water bottles!
    Maybe worth looking into

Lovely 🌹 Is it possible to run away from Love and Romance? Inspiration comes from the flowers 🌸 and the poets voice. A bird song at mornibg and a starshine at night... Amen 🙏

Hi, have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? Your baptism should be a symbol of repenting of sin and receiving a new life by accepting Jesus. Once you accept Him in faith, forgiveness and eternal life are God's gifts of grace to you. I hope you take the step if you haven’t already. God bless ❤
