    for everyone out there that doesn't know its kinda like that across all departments.. when they pick on you they like you but when there quiet, that's when you need to worry.

    I love that last bit, gets hit with a bucket of water and the lesson is “keep your head on a swivel”. Cool video

    Great video and great PR! More rooks need a level head and outlook like that one. Stay safe brothers/sisters.

    "that was the biggest fire I have ever seen" LOL "In the whole 2 months I have worked here it was the only fire I have ever seen!" Love probies! nice work bro! Hope you passed probation and have a long amazing career ahead!

      I had to smile when he said that was the biggest fire he'd ever seen. Still in my probationary period as well, I can relate to the feeling. I already knew though when I responded to a chicken house fire a few months ago that it was _not_ the largest fire I'd ever seen (saw someone's garage on fire when I was 13).

    being a firefighter looks amazing, I wish I could be one...I'm intrigued by fire, how it works and how to put it out, I also love helping people in need, looks like fun. I would clean toilets and urinals to be a fighter 😊

      I'm in the same position that you were I had a lot of questions and stuff to learn. what I did was try to be at the station as much as possible if I wasn't doing anything. in my department we always have people on shift it's combination of paid and volunteer. in that time I've been at the station I've learned a lot more than what I did in class. Just ask anyone for help hopefully they will be willing to help. do that and study and you'll be fine.

      @Carter S. Ive never heard of this 4 days on thing, in the midwest we got one 24 hr then two days off.

    • @LetsLaugh2Getha
      @LetsLaugh2Getha 4 роки тому

      @@FWMYKIGI I think its system dependent and the look at call volume. Here in NC, the Raleigh area, its 24 on, 24 off and when you get off the morning after your 3rd day on you are off for 4. So on Monday, off Tues, on Wed, off Thurs, on Fri, off Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues, go back for 24 on Wed, rinse & repeat.

      Having dread locks is a hazard because it can catch fire or obstruct you while you're doing your firemen duties. I believe women have to tie it up in a pony tail and must have it covered. Try going to a dept and asking.
