This interview is like an elegant dance with Guru Viking inviting form to manifest through his questions around which Ngakma Sang-gyé A-tsal creates subtle eddies of movement but resists allowing the fixing of some of the more discreet experiential aspects, I enjoy how she insists on a discreet poetics in many of her answers. Her vivid invocation of Künzang Dorje Rinpoche and her experience of the his playful methods, and of the eminent yogini Jomo Sam'phel Déchen Rinpoche are marvelous.
It's fascinating to me to listen to these testimonies of living contemporary Gö-kar-chang-lo'i dé practitioners, thank you very much Guru Viking for making your endless curiosity and interest available to us through your interviews.

Thanks for asking the question about the use of the term 'emptiness' in the Aro gTer - it does seem very much like they have a way of using it which is somewhat different to most Buddhist lineages and teachers, and it's struck me a few times over the course of your interviews with other Aro gTer folks.

I'm a 30 year initiate/practitioner/priest in the Afro-Cuban religious system known as Lucumi, often referred to in Spanish as Santeria. I'm also a Vajrayana pracititioner for many years. Whatever it is she is saying about Santeria is unrecognizable to me. I imagine whatever she was doing was not Santeria and she is speaking from a place of low/no experience on the subject. There is a great book on the subject called "Ocha Dharma: The Relationship Between Lucumi, an African-Based Tradition and Buddhist Practice" written by Sheryl Petty, (who is also a Lucumi priest and Vajrayana practitioner based in New York).

I'd love to learn more about your dual path...I'm ocha made and after tens years or feeling something missing am just starting on the vajrayana path. I love my Orishas dearly but need the mind training and death training that vajrayana offers. I'm hoping they are compatible.

why wear funny clothes ? emptyness as emptyness of thoughts? not knowing what to say as emptyness?
what about the emptyness of the five aggregates?
