Oh man I feel this kid. I’m 20 and my shoulders are screwed up from swimming. This guys tough to deal with all that work. I’ll bet he feels a lot better though!
Also for anyone who’s wondering, the metal scraping is called Graston. It helps break up scar tissue and increase blood flow to the muscles to make them relax :)
Me too, I'm 25 and I left grad school with a degree and a spine so fucked up my chiropractor literally didn't even know where to start. Spent most of my career at second base or behind the plate. I loved softball, but it did not love me one bit. Should be in my prime now, but sometimes I wake up and can't move. Any young athletes I know, I always tell not to let themselves get played into the ground. You gotta be your own advocate. Best of luck on the shoulders.
Red RidingHood thank you! I haven’t swam since 2018, but even still, I’m struggling. And it’s moved to my back as well. I get the not being able to move some mornings. I wish we talked more about burnout and over training. It’s such a common problem! Good luck on your journey too friend!
Im 34 and ex competitive swimmer. I wish i had something like this to look at niggles and injuries i picked up when i was younger. Im my body is in bits now, left shoulder, back, calves, left knee! Make sure you look after yourself for injuries. Early 00s injury advice was non existant and im suffering now.
I've tried that scraping thing before while recovering from shoulder injury from competitive dodgeball. Those things hurts like hell

There’s something about Brenda’s channel/practice that I just like so much ore than these other chiropractic channels. I think it’s just so much knowledge about what she’s doing mixed with her casual attitude. Makes her seem so.. real? I’m 100% here for it

That and she also uses more techniques and modes of treatment on her patients. Most chiros I’ve seen on UA-cam just do the cracks. She does deep tissue massage, scraping and the adjustments. She’s much more thorough and the way she does hers, the patient is more likely to feel better for longer.

this was pretty interesting, since he's a real athlete with training-induced and sport-specific imbalance instead of "casuals" with bad posture and little exercise.
would be great if you could show more athletes from different sports like volleyball, swimmers, climbers etc.
Yah a lot of contact sports like football or hockey can cause many bones to be bruised and ligaments to be tight so I would like to see more contact sport players (like myself) get a little of Mondragon’s touch.😁

@@ninchemarie sorry if that sounded harsh, but it hurts my soul when i see people not working out regularly and suffering from that. it is recommended to have 30min of exercise twice a week and so many people (over 60%) don't manage even that. a lot of the problems shown in other vids of hers could be minimized by working out and stretching even a little on their own.

damn i need to get this done to me. i grew up doing gymnastics, dance, and was a softball pitcher and shortstop for a while but now that i’m older and as focusing more on school than sport i REALLY feel the back pain. family members walking on my back don’t do any justice anymore bc that probably damaged my back more. just watching these videos makes me feel the pain and makes me want to go to a chiropractor but none of these you tubers live near me so idk who to trust bc i really don’t want to die from a chiropractor snapping my neck.

I would love to go to a chiropractor. I fell from a height and I damaged all the bones in the right side of my body, I lost some hearing too. My shoulder, wrist, hip, elbow, knee everything got damaged and I just don't move the same since. I too got corrective surgery with a bone graft.
